Speculation - New CBX wedge for 2021?

Given that the RTZ and CBX wedges are on alternating 2 year cycles, and the RTX zipcore was just released last fall, is there any word if a new CBX wedge will be released in Fall 2021?

Agreed. I'm thinking 48, 54, and 60 full face 😍. My ego wants to play the RTZ zips but I know I should be playing the cavity back wedges. I currently game an original CBX 56 and the thing is money.

I really like my CBX2 wedges, but I would like them even more if they were a tiny bit smaller all around, and with slightly less aggressive bounce. There's a huge difference between the RTX Zip Cores and the CBX2 in all around size. I'd love something between the two.

Anyone know how long it typically takes for a club to go from the conforming list to market?

I was looking to upgrade my old CBX and I am trying to wait this out

Man, I’ve been waiting for months and I see no announcement in sight. Went for a fitting and he put me in Vokeys. Didn’t think I was good enough to game traditional wedges but here we are.

I agree with this. I wanted a CBX2 pw replacement and had to go 48 degrees and bend 2 degrees strong to make the bounce more consistent with my irons. Eventually got a Fourteen DJ-4 in a 47, which is the exact size and style you’re describing (between RTX and CBX2) but the bounce is only 3 degrees and that’s almost too aggressive. I haven’t strengthened the loft because of this

Looks like CBX2 wedges just dropped in price today. Guessing/hoping the new release will be within the next few weeks?

There might not be info before the PGA Show.  Companies love to hold info at least until the start or middle of the show.

Black and white Pics of the cbx zipcore wedges were posted ages ago, think they were from the confirming list no idea when we will actually be able to get them though.

Is it typically 6 months for a club to hit the market?

 

I am trying to be patient

I have some credit at my pro shop that expires at the end of the year and was hoping to use it on this club.

I have a Callaway CB wedge 54* and  a CBX 2 Full face 58* and was looking to replace the Callaway wedge.

The  CB wedge is fine but the CBX is better.

Need a new wedge, played both CBX and CBX2, and trying to hold out for this.

 

Right now playing 45/50/54/58, but thinking about ditching the 50 (set wedge) and 54 (CBX2)  and going 45, 52, 58. I grab the CBX2 whenever I'm in between the PW and Lob anyway and go with feel. Just so damn good and reliable.

Interested to give these a try, really enjoy my CBX2 54 and was debating replacing my set 49 with a CBX2 but now I will likely look at these instead.

I may have to check these out as a potential replacement for my set gap wedge.  I can never find a set with a gap wedge that I like the look of; but it's mostly a full shot club for me and I prefer to have a little forgiveness built in rather than going to a bladed wedge like Vokey.  Wish this came in black though.

The best term I could use to describe it is solid

I have a CBX2 58* full face and the Zipcore CBX is heavier in the head

You can feel the head in the entire swing

I was not considering giving up my 58* CBX2 but I am now

I thought the CBX2 was automatic and they would not really be able to improve much on the design.  I don't know exactly what they did, but this club is more solid than the CBX 2 and just as automatic

Just a solid club all around

Couldn't be happier with the purchase and couldn't recommend them enough

Are they planning on releasing the full face this year in the new model? 

 

I thought those are usually a year later from when cbx wedges get released.
