Center shafted putters

I’ve been on a mission lately to find a putter that helps me see the line straight.  My eyes are cross dominant and it makes it very difficult for me to see the line on putts around 5-6 feet (or at least the cross dominance is what I’m blaming).  Shorter putts I seem to do ok on as there is more margin for error and longer putts I feel fairly comfortable.  People had suggested center shafted putters but I have been somewhat resistant as I don’t care for the look.  Anyways, I borrowed one from a buddy and quickly got past my aesthetic issue.  I am finally am seeing the line much better.

The putter I borrowed is an old white hot xg #8.  This is not a good looking putter, at least to my eye, but it is making a lot of putts.  Surely I can do better...I don’t really have a preference on insert versus milled so am fairly open.  Part of me wants to stick to a fairly narrow head shape, as the #8 is working so well.  The other part likes fang style putters so is considering the 2021 ping Tyne c.  The sigma 2 Kushin C also looks good.  Bettanardi has a few good looking options, as well as Evnroll.

Are there any others that I should be looking at?  I know some people swear by Seemore, but the appearance does not appeal to me much.  That said, I will get over it if the ball is rolling well.  There is nowhere near me to demo any of these so it’s gonna be a shot in the dark.  Worst case I’ll sell it and try again.

Anyways, what are you guys favorite center shaft models?

If you don't mind going older and can find one, the Ping G2 C67 had an offset bend in the shaft and a narrow blade construction. It's a great putter. I am cross eye dominant like yourself (I'm left eye and right handed) and it worked very well for me.

2nd swing.com has sold them from time to time.

What about the Bettinardi Inovai 6.0 or 7.0 CS?

They have a few others in the Studio Select line from years past.

I played a Cleveland hb #6-c all last year, very good looking center shafted mini mallet. Great putter and can be found cheap to try out.

I was messing around with some Cleveland putters at Dicks the other day and was surprised how nice they felt.  Seemed like a lot of putter for the money. I’ll have to keep my eyes open for one of these.  I’ve seen a number of the Huntington Beach 10.5 center shafts, but the shape of the one you posted is more up my alley.

For sure, I'm not crazy about the bigger mallet shapes, but this one is kinda that Rossie\Newport 3 shape. Depends on the feel you like, these original Huntington beach models have a very coarse milled face which feels quite soft, almost insert like.

How do you like it? What were you playing before this style of putter?

I love everything about it except the insert...Its very soft. I'm getting used to it and prefer center shafted putters for short putts.

I am a putter hoe who changes a lot. Recently a 2 ball center shaft and a Seemore.

I would STRONGLY encourage you to check our stuff out. We take center shafted to a new level.

I love the theory behind your putters and am working on the visual.  If there was an anser or fang style with your technology it would be my ideal putter.  Maybe I need to open my mind a little.

I really like the look of these.  I ended up buying an odyssey 7 in kinda rough shape for cheap.  I’m also going to get either a more blade looking cs.  If the fang style wins out I may end up with one of these pings.

The Cleveland Huntington Beach series also has a Center-shaft #7-style

+1 on the Cleveland Huntington Beach 10.5C Premier 👍🏼
As mentioned the deep milled face feels very soft and produces a very dull thud on contact. Face is shallow and head is pretty compact. Love the finish with black shaft.  Regripped with a bargain basket black Winn putting grip and it quickly knocked my LAB 2.1 out of the bag.  Played nine holes with it on Wednesday (-2) 💪🏼

I’m also left eye dominant and RH- same problem with 5-8 footers. I’ve tried so many brands and styles and realize I can’t live my golfing life without Seemore’s RST. It really works.
And they’re made in the USA- just a fantastic company!
Here’s mine:

Give them a call- they have some old models at their HQ in Tennessee. Ask for Brandon- he found a Z3 (mini mallet) I was about to pull the trigger on before I got lucky and found this one on EBay.
The carbon steel feels absolutely wonderful.

Switching between a SC Futura 5S and an Odyssey Works V-Line CS which I got for cheap from 2nd Swing and is behaving the best for me right now.

Early in hand photos of the new GT2 models t the truck.  As soon as they show up on the range in player's bags we'll get some better from the top photos and hopefully some comparison photos against the last model.
