Titleist Pro V1 Left Dot Retail Release?

Based on what was disclosed on the Team Titleist talk last week, no plans to roll out the left dot at retail, or another limited release, for that matter. That said, they core from the left dot made its way into the ‘23 Pro V.

My understanding is that the dots and the dashes were made for a handful of pros who were making special requests. If they could now get those specifics in a Pro V1 or a Pro V1x I would imagine they'd switch back over.

I just received confirmation from Titleist the left dot is coming back this year in another limited release.  

 

Just got off a chat with Titlest cust service and they confirmed it. 

 

I knew it was coming back but the timeframe was never fully confirmed.

Is there any way to mix the types? Like 2 Pro V1 and 2 Pro V1 left Dash?

I would kill for left dot to be included in the 4 for 3 deal. But if the truth is the core from the old left dot is the new Pro V1 this year I will likely stick to that.

Guess it depends which agent you chat with. I chatted with Ryan a few days ago about Left Dot and he told me there were no plans to bring it back. He went on to say that the '23 V1 was so similar to Left Dot there was no real reason to rerelease it.

I had it confirmed from multiple sources and the core is not the same core as the new prov1....similar, but the left dot is still very unique.

 

lets hope the agents i chatted with on TT as well as the cust service rep are right and Ryan doesnt want to spill the beans just yet

for those of you who care, i just spoke to the cust service department at titleist and they said the left dot is going to be available again in the near future and to call your local pro to get them pre ordered for you. here is the chat

Just an FYI - I was able to order some Left Dots through the pro at my club.  I asked him back in July, he spoke to our Titleist rep, and they arrived this week.  I'll probably hold off on playing them until I use up all of the AVX's that I have.

I reached out to a few contacts yesterday and didn't have any luck.

No idea who you guys are talking to at Titleist but I contacted both the online chat, the customer support via telephone, and had a buddy who is an elite am reach out to his Titleist contact who helps him out, and all three said that the Left DOT is not making a comeback anytime soon outside of what's available for tour guys.

I spoke with Titleist directly.  You will not be able to order them online any time soon. And, you are not supposed to be able to order them through your club arbitrarily.  However, if you go through their full tour ball fitting and it truly is the ball that fits you--they will allow you to order some.  I did the full ball fitting and the left dot performed 95+% the same as the new retail ProV1.  I averaged very slightly lower spin and launch with all clubs and shots.  The new ProV1 was softer and spun more around the green and had slightly higher ball speed.  Distance for me was identical.  I loved the left dot more than any other ball and as much as anyone on WRX.  Outside of the very best in the world, it is not logical to froth at the mouth for the left dot any more. And definitely not worth the ridiculous grey market prices. The ProV1 is just too close in objective performance metrics.  TItleist isn't lying.  HOWEVER, I fit nicely into them and ordered 6 dozen.  I deeply love all of you psychos that care about golf balls enough to read this.

I didn't jump through any hoops, contact Titleist directly, or do a ball fitting.  I talked to the pro at my club, who spoke to our Titleist rep, and a few weeks later they arrived.  Not sure what else to say.
