Just saw some of these listed on the BST the other day.

Is it basically a higher compression AVX? That’s what the description on the back of the box made it seem like.

Ive been playing Left Dash since last season and would definitely be interested in something that spins like that, but launches lower while keeping compression up over the AVX.

I would say you are pretty close to spot on.

Lower launch than LD and a bit more spin with irons and around the green.

I’m interested in trying some of these out, when I was fit last it came between Pro V1 and AVX. I stuck with Pro V1 as I didn’t like the feel of the AVX.

In roughly May of this year Titleist released some podcasts talking about the left dot and they said that they were going to release some on July 19th but for whatever reason they didn’t and then took the podcasts down.

I called Titleist and they mentioned having two prototype golf balls coming out which makes me wonder if they aren’t also going to bring out Pro V1 star. Either way I’m interested in trying them out.

Left dot is supposed to fly lower and spin less than Pro V1, similar to AVX. But inside a 100 yards or so will have more spin than AVX. This ball will also sit in between AVX and Pro V1 in terms of feel/compression.

So I have been playing the left dash for a while.  As others have found,    it outperformed the older X off the driver but the current X is very similar.  What is the new left dot all about?.

Lower spinning off the driver than the Left Dash and softer but everything else the same?

not for me.....the left dash blows away the Prov1 x off the driver....the V1x spins way to much for me and balloons

Will this not just replace the AVX in the current lineup? I like the AVX just not the feel, a touch extra greenside spin would be welcome, though i get pretty decent check with the AVX

Maybe, maybe not. There could be golfers who like the soft feel of AVX and like the short game performance of AVX and therefore do not want the extra spin which left dot is said to provide.

I wonder if they aren’t releasing this based on the performance of ‘21 V1. I like the ‘19 V1 and feel that it checks all the boxes for me. In talking to the Titleist rep a few weeks ago at a ball fitting he said that the ‘21 V1 is supposed to fly a bit higher and spin a bit more, but still lower than V1x. I was under the impression that the ‘21 V1 was supposed to spin less than ‘19 but that’s not what the Titleist rep said.

I’m interested in trying the left dot V1 to see if it gives similar performance to ‘19 V1 as I’m not looking to hit the ball higher or with more spin, softer feel I can live with.

Quite possible, just not sure that Titleist wants to have 5 marketed tour balls as they already have the Tour speed which the low speed urethane ball as well.

I really like the AVX as I just recently started using it, I just do not like how it feels. I've gained distance and lost the ballooning throughout the bag. That being said I prefer the feel of the ProV1x or Srixon XV but they both spin excessively in the wind for me. If I could get a ball that feels like the ProV1 or V1x and balls like the AVX it would be prefect for me.

No idea. Have not played either. @tsecor posted a link to an article on the left dash Pro V1X release that had this to say about the Pro V1 Star.

The Pro V1 Star is such a unique golf ball in that, I’m not sure it’s all that good for any regular golfer. It’s really extreme in terms of launch conditions. It’s a very, very high-spin Pro V1, is how I would describe it. That is a unique profile.

A box of left dash of course, finally put it in play this week and shot 73.  I went back today to the PGA superstore in Plano , Texas and bought 2 more boxes.  I think they have one box left on the shelf.

ahh. Makes sense. Yea, it’s a unique ball for sure. I’ve been playing better with high spin balls this year like the Bridgestone bxs but I’m gunna take 2 dozen left dashs to Ireland next month. I just can’t imagine playing a bxs in ireland.

@tsecor Thanks for that link, informative article.  I really like DASH and play it most of the time, AVX the rest of the time; which is weather based.

I used to play ProV1x till they increased its spin characteristics, I was bummed.  Switched to the new AVX and was pleased, but when I found DASH - I B happy.

I just received a dozen of the LEFT Dot Prov1. It is correct a lower launching lower spinning Prov1. Have a feeling its going to be a very popular ball for someone who spins it a little to much. I know its a new gamer for me compared to the standard Prov1. Picture a way better feeling AVX with a touch more spin with green side wedges. A perfect ball for a high speed player.
