It’d be a great story but Canter has a lot of holes to pick up one shot. Particularly with two scoreable par 5s to finish

Yep. It did make it sound like the captain had made his picks months ago.  I mean I thought billy was in the running - the outside of the running but in the running to get a pick.  No call at all means he was not in that conversation.

I think that's what Billy was feeling with the Ryder Cup. Except in his case, it's more like he had one interview at a job fair.

I think if we’re going on rankings alone then there should be no picks. Just go 1-12 or whatever.  The picks are for the wildcards, outliers and grinders who make putts whne the pressure  ramps.  Can’t really be be both. Either  its rankings or wild arse hunches for picks.

Sure, except the picks typically tend to be near chalk and highly ranked guys that were in the convo anyway.  Hasn't really been many totally off the beaten path,

Clutch finish from Billy Ho - got to give him props for that. Never caught all of what he said regarding the Ryder Cup but from what you guys are saying, that he didn’t even get a call regarding a pick seems pretty poor to me. If nothing else, if Stricker was truly having sleepless nights, he could have spent some of that awake time on the phone to Billy.

Sure. I just didn’t see billy as being totally off the beaten path considering he had a match play event win recently.    Compared to say if Europe picks stenson let’s say.    But at any rate. It sounded like someone had spoke to billy at some point. Or so we think he dreamed being in contention?  I suppose that’s possible to.
