Brooks Koepka to sign with Srixon?

I’ll add that Creedo77 is a professional caddy…  So I’ll go with what he says 😊 He sees a lot more than we do and talks to a lot more people that know.

This doesn’t go for all players but I worked for a guy who played Srixon. His words were that the woods were trash. Not the case for everyone but I do notice that they’re one of the few companies out there that their staff guys don’t play a complete bag

Maybe the guys playing TM drivers and such should look at Srixon then.  They seem to be working well.  Maybe it’s the TM tee up money?

I do see a fair number of guys w/o driver contracts (bigger names that clearly don’t need the tee up $) choosing and doing well w/TM drivers. The man that’s the topic of this thread is a great example. Played his best golf with a TM driver that he wasn’t paid to play.

I posted the bit about these guys needing the $ in regards to the KF guys who are (mostly) paid to play an entire bag. It’s not the case for everyone out there. The $1200-1500 they make at week off the OEMs is big for them

Ive seen the video clip of BK playing their driver so much like the few 3/4 big names he’s likely playing a tour made driver and not something you can find

Interesting direction for Brooksy who stated he was not interested in signing a club deal anytime soon.  They must have thrown the bank at him.

When you stop winning, you sign endorsements to keep the money going.

The typical Srixon staff deal is driver, irons, wedges, ball.  Everything else is fair game to play anything

So they can play other brand putters?  Which Srixon doesn’t make.

Is it not true that a lot of pros are using tour only equipment?  Not just Srixon pros?

Interesting look at the current USGA conforming driver list. Outside of the current ZX5/ZX7 retail offerings there are what appears to be 3 ZX5 drivers and 13 ZX7 drivers that appear to be tour only. All of the drivers except for the ZX7 labeled ZX7 Tour have a TXXX designation in the product name.

Full staffers JB Holmes (PING) and Keegan Bradley (SIM2). See Getty Images. The Srixon website when it comes to their equipment usage by tour players is simply awful. They aren't the only one (TM outside of its top players is as well).

However it shows Hideki (ZX7) and Shane Lowry (ZX5) as currently playing their drivers. On the other hand they show Cam Champ and Miguel Angel Jimenez as being staff player when all they play is their golf ball. They are both PING staff players. Many times over the last few years Hideki hasn't used a Srixon driver. It appears using their driver is not required as a staff player.

I don't know about you guys, but I'm going out this afternoon to buy Srixon clubs... again. And I need the same model, shafts, weight and grips as Koepka. And hats. I have to have the same hats and shirts and bag. All in the same size as him. I'll have the sleeves tailored to reduce the radius so my biceps will look bigger. Anyone else doing this today?

Brooks is a big enough name that he can dictate what clubs he will and won’t have in the bag.

Definitely big enough. Dude is the size of a linebacker!

Looks like a majority of their staffers play PING drivers! 😁 And of their staffers that do play their driver, what % of those are tour only models??? And yes, there are definitely other OEMs that have tour only equip. But currently I’d say almost all the Ping, SIM and TSi drivers are the same ones we can buy.

I would think the idea of not being as restrictive as some companies would be a plus to the wrx crowd.  Ping is usually what ? 13 clubs and normally including putter?  Or has that changed just with Finau or others as well?

Ping has changed. They now seem to require a minimum of 11 clubs which is what Finau signed. Finau initially was not using a Ping putter. He was playing a Piretti putter when he signed. Viktor Hovlands club deal with Ping has the same 11 club minimum.
