You're right that it's a good idea for Gina to be promoted from the Epson Tour; partly because Epson Top-10 has a higher priority than LPGA #81-100.

 

Gina and Allisen were teammates at 2021 Curtis Cup in Wales last yea; even though they didn't pair together then.

I can't see her winning many, if any more, majors with the gulf of hungry young talent, but she will be a top 10 player until she hangs it up yet that doesn't always translate to wins, see Lexi.  More of a testament to the depth of the LPGA.

I think she is very close to winning another major.  Doesn't mean she will and no doubt the landscape is different from 2014-2016 Lydia, but the game is there.

 

That being said, I could see her exiting the game sooner rather than later (in the context of 30 yrs old).  She has a very different life ahead of her.

I also think she will retire around 30 like she has mentioned before.  She is marrying into one of the South Korean Chaebol's so I think her life will change dramatically once she is in the family.  She'll probably also want to start a family.

 

I hope she can get at least one more major before she retires but like @woahnelly said, the LPGA is pretty deep with talent right now.  I was just checking the Rolex Rankings and see that Jeeno has passed Lydia to move into 4th.  I think she will be a lock for rookie of the year unless Hye Jin Choi can get a couple of wins at the end of the season.

I guess she's already 25, time flies.  I was thinking she could easily be done with the tour in a couple of years.  Not that far from 30 I guess (her original plan).  And of course, some people still play after getting married.  I don't know for sure but just think this situation could be a bit different.

Flair Bias 

Super rookie Ina Yoon wins her first title on the KLPGA, I guess the trophy is a crown and a septor?  She leads the tour in driving (about 265 yds).  Despite hitting it OB 2x on the final day, she won with her putter down the stretch making a long putt on the 72nd hole to win. This win should vault her into the top 60/70 in the Rolex Rankings, hope to see her in some majors next year. I expect her to be a player in the near future once she tames her power a bit.

Senior LPGA Championship starts tomorrow and very little coverage around it .Juli, Annika, Laura Davies and Karrie Webb all in the field.

 

Weather is supposed to be in the 100s. 
 

Salina is a small community. I wonder if people from places like Wichita would venture out. It’d certainly be worth it to see the above 4 in a competitive situation. 
 

Allegedly Annika said she had never visited this part of the US before. I guess Prairie Dunes in 2002 at about an hour away doesn’t count.

I guess Helen is not playing this year. Her win in 2019 was nice to see. I have not seen her around recently though I'm sure they are escaping the heat back Sweden or some such.

I know some are critical of Pano but it looks like she's playing pretty well on the Epson. She's in the top 10 on the money list thus far.

 

Smith fell out but is only a few thousand away from getting back into the top 10. Would love to see another local pro get their card back.
