Do you already have them?

Not yet.

However, my fitter told me some Callaway pre-order woods have already arrived, but they're required to sit on them until release date. I'm taking that as a very good sign considering the pre-order window opened opened last week. Seems like Callaway is committed to nailing their launch.

I've never played Callaway irons, but the Rogue ST Pro w/MMT shafts definitely has my attention. Lofts would likely be weakened 1°-2° though.

I hit them the other day at GG. They’re a fantastic iron that will fit a lot of people.

like the person above with a lot of speed and not a pure ball striker these are a nice blend. They feel good, look awesome from address, and have the forgiveness of the apex.

Id definitely give them a swing if you’re in the market for a very forgiving players ish looking club.

Had P790 on order since November was told mid April ETA. Hit the Rogue Pro ordered with same shaft looking like Ill have them soon. Also hit Rogue Max driver think I'm pulling trigger on that as well

Nice… Which shaft? I’m hitting these irons on Tuesday.

Callaway is only showing the MMT in 105tx.

Yeah, I saw that, but online stores like Carl's Golfland and Golfio are showing 85R and 95S options.

I also called Callaway, and they said I could order 85R.

Strange.

My buddy already got his Rogue Pro with KBS 120

I was told it was the KBS stepless shafts that are backordered but that the situation is improving. I’ll get an updated rundown on Tuesday and report back. KBS Tour 120 or 110/115, PX LZ 5.5 or 6.0 and PX IO 6.0 soft-stepped would be my top choices, depending on fit. But several DG options will work too. I have no interest in a long backorder. I’ll choose a shaft they have. Who am I kidding? The equipment is always better than me.

I am hoping the weather cleared enough to let them get out of Kentucky and arrive today but it is not looking good. Not a big problem of course but it would have been fun to give them the shake down in the Sunday points game.

Got the chance to hit full set of these last week with my usual shaft and was underwhelmed. Thought they looked and felt cheap, particularly as I was hitting them against the Mizuno Pro 225 and the Taylormade p790. The Mizuno was the best of the 3 in my mind, the Callaway a distant third. I am a Callaway fan so I’m going to wait for next year’s iteration of the Apex combo which I hope both irons will be hollow bodies with same design cues and with better feel than the current Apex Pro, and devoid of the “Tungsten” label.

To me the sole is a bit more narrow, top line and blade length also by a small amount over the APEX. The Rogue seems to have less offset than the APEX, not a huge difference or it could just be the shaping of the iron.

I always found the look of the APEX sole to be odd,  just the shaping with the back of the iron I guess. But it was something that always caught my eye.

Overall I like the look of the Rogue over the APEX and even the black badge thing on the back is not as gaudy in hand as in pictures. Hope to hit them on Wed if the weather is OK.

They look great. When did you order? I ordered Jan 21st and my order still shows "order processing". Pretty jacked to get these after seeing the pics of yours.

I'd be curious to know if Callaway runs focus groups. Just because I'd be curious to know what the non-WRX golf population thinks. I'd rather see these without the black plastic badge, make all the tech hidden and make them look like a pure blade at a glance a la Mizuno 225. I wonder if they decided they'd turn more people off by doing that than they'd turn on. I know you don't hit the ball with the back of the club but it's a perception thing. I'd love to try the 225s or the Ping i525 because at a glance they look like a players blade but have tech built in.

I posted my experience demoing the ST Pro against the 225, i525, P790 and PTx Pro.  I own the P790 and PTx Pro irons, and the other 3 are considerations for this year.  In its stock setup, ST Pro was really solid on dispersion.  Though not a fan of the back, it is really appealing at address.  Having played the 21 Apex Pro last season, I like the look of the ST Pro at address in comparison.  What I did find surprising is that it's profile appears slightly more compact than the Mizuno 225 and i525, where I consider both of these more compact than their predecessors.  Where I faulted the ST Pro was feel.  Center contact, as with nearly all clubs, was soft and solid.  However, even slightly off-center hits were fairly harsh, even when the forgiveness provided an accepted result.  I'm going to revisit the ST Pro again to see if I have the same experience because there is something very appealing about the club, and its forgiveness was noticeable throughout my test.

I ordered though my regular rep at Callaway and he put it in for 1st thing the morning of the 21st, possibly 12:01 automatically. He said I would have been one of the 1st non dealer orders in line.

Put them on the SW scale and they hit what I asked for, D2 5 iron up to D5 on the AW. I can't check the loft and lie but I hope they are per the order. They have been much better for me on the last two orders of new stuff, after years of getting clubs all over the map on specs.

Good review, I bought them blind so I will get to test the feel and most of the face off grass under playing conditions. I can only hope they work out as good as I hope. But as a slower SS player and pretty deaf, if they go where I point them and land decent I will be happy.

I'm curious of your swingspeed.  Based on your bag, at least by typical standards, it would appear at least high 80's with a 7i, low 100's with driver.

Depending on the day and how the body decides to participate I think I can hit those numbers. Normal painful days lately maybe a bit lower.

Don't let the x flex in the woods fool you, most are soft in the handle and tip stiff so imo do not play like real x flex. The GD AD DI 8x plays the stiffest but still feels ok to me. Being 63 there is only so much available to use haha
