Passive brag award of the day?

The day is still early, will likely be many more passive brags. Let me know if you see any because i have to go out shortly to play virtual golf--Will likely shoot 71 or 72

I went to the range yesterday and an older gentleman was next to me trying to hit some balls. You could see he was frustrated and pausing between shots shaking his head. He never turned around to look at me for the first 10 balls. But then he snapped around after I hit a shot and said, “I can hear it, you are a good player. I need you to do something for me. Hit these old clubs so I can see how they should perform. My body won’t let me anymore” The first one he pulled out was a 983k, the driver I hit in college. Oh the memories! It had a 65g regular shaft and I absolutely striped it…and the feel, just pure.  Next up was a set of ping Eye 2’s, the irons I played high school…again, regular shaft and everyone I hit was pure (except the 3 iron, lol). He probably thought the moment was all about him but that couldn’t be more from the truth. It pulled at my heart and really made me appreciate the moment. Folks, remember something, we have relationships with our clubs and though you may be separated at times, it doesn’t mean you need a divorce. Take this old sticks out of the bag and show them some love this week.

So it was all about you? Nice!  (I get what you were saying, lol).

A few years I was visiting my folks, when they still went to Palm Desert, had been to Irvine for some time with Monte and was practicing little pitches around the practice green where my Dad played trying to use the new technique I'd been taught and was getting some results which was exciting and an old guy comes by and wants to pay me to teach him how to do it, lol - he was serious.  We had a nice chat and he realized I wasn't a teacher and didn't want to be, but I explained what I thought I was doing and where to find Monte and it was kind of fun.  Funnier story at the same green different day I'm trying the same things and failing miserably and a codger hollers over "You're doing that all wrong."  Took two yells for me to realize he was trying to get my attention and wanting to pantomime what he thought I should be doing (which was the old technique I was trying to get rid of, haha), so there's always the other side of those encounters.

At a driving range I sometimes frequent, there is a little road about 320 yards away along the back end of the range.

Sometimes work trucks make this daring pass, hoping that there are no long hitters on the range.

One day, I didn't see the truck coming, but as I struck my 3 wood and looked up...there was an old pick up going 40 MPH across the back of the range.

It appeared that he would cross paths with my range ball. And sure enough, 2 hops and right into the side of his truck.

Lesson being, don't drive across the back of a range when there are long hitters present.

I'm surprised you didn't hit it directly over the trick,  narrowly missing it on the fly

I’m positive.

Because I don’t carry a 4 iron. I never have more than 220 in on any par 4s or par 5s (for my second shot). 220 is a smooth 7.

I carry 5 wedges and 2 putters.

An all time classic tonight. Gentleman in the next bay. Iron covers so not a good start. Fills in details on trackman screen and then proceeds to set up IPhone on a stand. Starts talking into the phone...name, time, what he would be working on etc etc. Carefully peels iron cover off to reveal a battered MP60 6 iron. Sets up and has about ten waggles. Then stone tops it.

That can easily be edited into a 250 yard missile in post-production. If he were smart he'd also add in some sword unsheathing sound effects when he removed the iron cover.
