I got my LS 3HL with Ventus Blue 7x yesterday. I think it was about 3 weeks delivery time. Just hit it. Thing is a bomber. Man o man...I have never had a 3 wood that I could elevate off the deck so easily AND go straight AND not be super spinny. This combo just goes high and straight for me (and LONG). Looks great, feels great, but definitely on the smaller side. The shaft is a hair on the stiff side for me, but it is in the bag.

Love it! Mine comes next week...3hl with the av white 75x but I have an 8x ventus blue that'll likely go in it.

April can’t come soon enough. Sucks Callaway doesn’t have any LH heads in stock until then.

Who needs a 3 wood. These things have some serious pop. You could get away with just a 5 wood.

Has anyone hit the LS model with the stock Tensei AV Blue 65 or 75?  I am currently playing the standard Mavrik head with the Aldila Rogue White 70 shaft. It is very easy to hit, but I feel that at times it spins a bit too much for me.  Was looking at going to this new LS head for the lower spin profile, but was curious about how the Tensei Blue shafts would play in it.  Might go with the 75 since it is supposed to be a bit lower spin than the 65 I believe   My current Aldila Rogue white 70 is billed a a low spin, low launch shaft, but I am assuming the standard Maverick head is what is spinning it up.  Is there a big forgiveness difference going from standard Mavrik to the Rogue St LS? I am believing the the ST LS is more forgiving than the Mavirk SubZero…

For what is  it is worth I have a 80 gram stiff Aldila White in my Mav SZ 3 wood and will be getting the shaft shaft in the Rogue ST LS. Callaway has been backordered so I don't have it yet, but I should have it first week of April. Can report back. To your point the spin is likely coming from the head. I don't think any Tensei Blue will low spinning or launch. Always been more Mid/Mid for me.

I am playing a rogue ls 3 wood 15*.  I am playing the tensei white 75g shaft not the blue.  I really liked the launch and spin profile.  I can play it lower and drive it under the wind or play it high.  Saturday I played a fun 6-6-6 tournament at our local course that was played from reds/golds/white for each 6 so I hit the 3 wood a lot.  I really liked it, my previous 3 wood had a blue board 72g in it and I found the tensei to be lower launching and lower spinning which is what I needed.  If you are looking to bring down spin I think you will have better results with the tensei white over the blue.  I saw lower launch an spin numbers in the white than blue during fitting and it correlated to the course.

If I order the 16.5 at 42.5” will Callaway adjust the swingweight for me? Why is a 16.5* fairway wood 43.25”?

Idk about swing weight but likely so.

The 16.5 and the 15 are thr same length AND the same headweight. Allows the 16.5 to be played as a true hl 3w. The titleist 16.5 heads are heavier than the 15...for example.

I was testing fairway woods last night at the retail level, and after hitting TItleist TSi2 and 3, then the Stealth +, and PING LS, I had the fitter bring me the Rogue ST LS 15°.

...no offense but even the LS wants to sit closed.  I had to flip it over to verify it was the LS.  So thinking it might be just a bad one, I went over to the rack where they had a dozen of them and they were all consistently face shut.  I also tended to lose the LS left when hitting it.

When I got home I checked a few YouTube reviews such as the Michael Newton review - and he says the same thing about the LS:  "Disappointing because the face sits closed."  And I see some people in YouTube comments saying the same thing.

The retailer had some EPIC Speed and older Maverick NOS fairway woods which sat neutral.

Is nobody else seeing this with the LS?

I'm as sensitive as anyone to a closed face. I think every TM fairway since the m4/5 series has sat closed.

I don't think thr rogue st ls sits closed. I have the 16.5 and it sitting neutral was a huge reason I bought it.

What I can say is that face orientation at address is hugely player dependent.  Your setup, your visual perspective of target line, the way you see the color scheme and topline shaping, etc. Except for those fairways that really do setup closed...

I agree, I have an LS 15 degree and it sits perfectly neutral for me. I’ve never seen a club sit so square tbh.

im up in Canada. So a few more weeks until my club opens, but I’m very excited to hit it off the tee and turf.  I went with the MMT 70X.

Following / mine arrives today - went with the stock Tensei 75 blue.  My swing speed is right around 100 and I typically am a high ball hitter but opted for 15° over the HL.

update:  preferred the 3HL after side by side!

I do see how the silver face with white scoring lines and straight-ish black topline with cambered sole could do weird optical things to certain eyes where you think you have the face square, but the black topline looks closed and vice versa, but it does not sit closed to my eye. I can make it look closed if I just plop it down on the ground and don't do anything to to square the face and really focus on the black topline rather than the silver face, but I can do that with every club in the bag.

To me it is not closed and I don't see it.

Anyone know if You can order the new Rogue fairways bent a degree strong or weak. Know they are doing it for the UW.

I'll be interested in how that tb does in that head. I put my old trusty speeder 757 evo2 in mine and it made the club perform on another level. I was getting a few pulls with the 8x ventus blue...I think the heft of the shaft was just a bit more than I could muster.

Definitely keep us updated on how that TB works out. I've been on the fence between a TB 70X and a GD AD HD 7X. Love 'em both, and think both would work out really well long-term for me in this spot. So I'll probably do my duty as a WRXer and buy them both.
