I really like the retail PLD shaft.  It is plenty stiff and has great feel.  The Phantom X steel shafts are noodles in comparison.  I wouldn’t want anything stiffer than that.

i would assume its not available for purchase unless someone is selling theirs from their custom PLD or if you know somebody at Ping.

Not sure if this is because I’m a lefty but I ordered mine last month and had to request an update to get a picture early last week. I haven’t gotten any additional info. It has been over a month now, so I’ll be curious to see when it arrives.
 

I don’t know much about the milling process. Maybe they have to wait for so many left handed orders before they can mill a batch? I’m just trying to give them the benefit of the doubt. I’m okay with, and understand, the longer lead times but I feel the experience would be better with improved communication or a way to get a status update online. 
 

Regardless, I’m excited to see how it turns out and enjoyed my chat with my fitter.

Unfortunately no. The neck had to be black when doing a plumbers neck on carbon.

Haha, yes the Phantom X felt like soft spaghetti. Glad I wasn’t the only one who thought that.

My eyes tend to gravitate towards the back of the putter when I have a flange line. I’ve tried site dots, site lines, and a star on my artisan. I wanted to try something a little different. 
 

The line is “ball width” so your ball should be centered if it’s within the confinements of the line. 
 

I’ve done well with the T alignment aid on pro v’s so figured this would be similar.

Small hiccup. I thought I ordered stainless, Alex wrote down carbon . Ffffff don't know what to do. I've never had carbon nor do I know how maintain it.

It looks like it's protected by the finish, nothing to worry about. Even with a raw head, any surface change should be considered like a badge of honor..

Alex confirmed that the finish would protect it and I had nothing to worry about. I have the go ahead to use it on course to ensure that I like the feel.

If you’re talking about the black one, strangely enough, I kind of like it. I have a 72 but it’s just too heavy at 365g. I’ve tried everything I could to warm up to it.

 

Anyway, rolled a bunch of putts with the black retail Anser and I noticed that I could feel the shaft more than normal. I wouldn’t think it’s a feel that I would like but I was rather fond of it, at least in the store anyway. Famous last words…
