A poor man's Cameron Smith putter

Looking at the thread title which was cut off on my computer, I thought I may have stumbled across a rare opportunity to make a joke involving bogans...

 

but alas, just a lot of pictures of beautiful putters.

 

Cam's 009 is certainly one of the better looking ones out there. Probably my favorite blade shape of all time - and I always appreciate a flow neck.

Yes! Tracy II is the closest I can think of.

Take that Yes putter to a putter customization service and you can have a good inexpensive 009 with flow neck copy. Also, good call on the Goodwood... just took a look at the website and seems like a great custom option.

Just to be a nitpicker here. Smith's putter has a short slant neck, not a flow neck. The difference is subtle (and you may not care about the difference) but they technically are not the same style of neck.

Yep. See my post. Lajosi offers both. I think Scotty calls it a flow jet.

I’ve recently ordered and waiting for mine. Any details? Face milling? Headweight? I ordered the same stamping but moved it around. Matte Black stainless for me.

Mine is 355g, 70/3 lie/loft, deep milled face. It feels great (to me—appreciate that part is subjective). I ordered two of these for the same reason many have highlighted in this thread…this neck is tough to find outside of the Cameron jet neck. Kari does amazing work, you will love it. What’s your quoted wait time?

Didn’t give me a quote on time unfortunately haha. How long did it take you?

 

I went with ultra fine milling. I think I like firmer, hotter feeling faces.

I got lucky when I ordered mine as he already had the heads milled and wasn’t super busy, so maybe 6 weeks or so

Lajosi's top line is not quite the same, it's lower, especially noticeable towards the toe .  But it is a beautiful putter for sure.  The DH89 is exactly the same CAD design as 009.

I owned a blue oil flow neck dh89 once.

Ah… yea. I am bracing myself for 12-16 weeks. Saw the FN22 is sold out on his site so maybe there’s a batch in the works.

At one point the DH89 would have been the best bet.  Now I think Lajosi makes the most sense given the custom neck and the exchange rate.

 

This is what you could have gotten from Byron a few years ago.  Rincon neck, rolled topline, site dot.
