A poor man's Cameron Smith putter

I rolled one of these today and thought about this thread. The one I rolled today had a black shaft, black finish and a single red dot on the topline.

Toulon Austin or Madison with a flow neck. Hard to locate but great putters.

I was looking for something similar recently.  If I had it to do over again I may have gone Lajosi.  I got a Betti BB1f and a stroke lab 3.  Neither is super close but I like the shape of the Odyssey a little better in the neck.  It’s just a little shorter.  The anser milled 6 looked better to me than the 4.  If the ones I have keep working out and Lajosi comes back in stock I may get one of those as this thread has got me hot and bothered for Karl Lajosi…

I have almost the exact same buildout coming from Kari. Black, top line, white fill.

Not cheap ($600) but a Toulon garage Austin with the h8/short slant neck I think would be somewhat similar. And you can get a customize your sight line, paint, weight etc

This one is a pretty sick putter drawing inspiration from Cam's 009. It is far less than a CT and is undoubtedly more affordable than if SC came out with an "inspired by Cam Smith" putter.

I love mine. Not the same head as cam but anser style with my own specs for cheaper than betti, scotty, ping pld, etc.

Prob a little light in the swing weight category, Nothing some lead tape couldn’t fix

 

couple interesting notes

 

- probably made in the same factory where the CAMERON heads produced ,

- same child labor craftsmanship for the blanks

- also site dot availability, better than what “Don” offers ,

Cam’s offset looks full shaft from the limited photos I’ve seen. Is it 3/4 or full? It’s definitely more than 1/2.

Ive had a few TD's before, other than the roll face being weird they are good putters especially for the price...
