I know its tsr day, but i just got done with 36 and had the best driving day i can ever remember. 20 drivers hit, 16 fairways hit. 2 misses were just misjuding wind, and one was just through the fairway. High frozen ropes all day. Normally id be testing the new titleist by now, but No thanks, this thing isnt going anywhere.

Having played this driver for 90% of the year I have a few thoughts.

120mph driver sS, +hcp for reference

I hit a buddies TSi3 the other day on the range and it has me thinking.

cobra is long, low spinning but not low where it hurts me. I have mine at 200g headweight with 2 10g weights in the bottom. It sounds very solid and muted, feel, meh (compared to the tsi3). I play this at 10* loft and haven’t played a driver above 9* in a long time. Speaks to the low spin this thing has. Miss is the hard quack hook left..

the tsi3 feels great , sounds great , feels lighter though. Still seems very forgiving and low spin.

do I need a tsi3? No. But now I am wanting something new and shinny…

but a 10* head opened up to 9.25* sounds very appealing

not sure it is worth it …

I have the LS 3 wood cranked up 1 degree and love it. Great off the tee and turf and it’s forgiving. It’s a small head which for me I like. I am a 5 cap and about 108mph driver speed.

Well the timing is horrible (season done here in New England) but just pulled the trigger on a new ltdx ls head. Wasn't super impressed with the newly rumored AeroJet (and the lack of a milled face). Coming from an XB, I am excited by this thread.

My question for folks, I went with the 10.5 based on my recent ball flight with the XB (had a 9 degree in that) and the fact that this could launch even lower potentially with all that weight up front. My concern is now I went up a degree in lie angle. And if I have read correctly, any adjustment to the loft sleeve adds another degree, regardless of what that adjustment was. I know 2 degrees in minimal but being a shorter guy, worried the toe of the club is going to be pointing sky high and Ill be bringing my left miss back into play, which I dont enjoy. I very much enjoy playing a fade off the tee. Experience? Thoughts? Am I overthinking it?

I may get a backup head honestly, unless the Aerojet is a flop somehow.

Nope have the current one never used a Cobra driver until this. I know I'd still have a warranty incase anything happens but you know what happens when you get attached to a club.

For those that have put heavier weights in or lead tape, what does that change? Makes it feel easier to release the head or you just changed shafts from stock shaft? Curious to see if I should experiment with it.

I have 10g in toe, 16g in heel.

Swing weights to like d2 with Hzrdus yellow. Supposedly that gives me a slight fade bias.  Seems correct because normal flight with it seems to be a few yard fade, but I can still turn it over and not feel like I will snap hook it.

I gamed the TSI3 for a year prior to the LTDX.  Titleist knows how to make a driver look, sound, and feel.  I loved that aspect, but the performance was never where the Cobra has been for me.  If you are wanting new and shiny, I would try the TSR as it is said to be better than the TSI series.  I had to play the TSI 3 at 10, and have the LTDX at 9.  I had it tweaked down to 7.5, but the open face had me with a 2 way miss.  Just food for thought from someone that has gamed both.

Ended up grabbing a 9* Ltdx ls head off the bay. Been using stealth plus since it came out but this cobra was an option when I bought stealth. Been thinking about trying the ls ever since. Looking forward to giving it a whirl!

My dilemma... I play my driver at D8, ventus black x @ 45"  These heads weigh around 187g right? I need to get head weight around 210g hahaha. I'm gonna have to put 2 16 gram weights then tweak with lead tape if needed. Ill probably just try it stock first and add lead tape strip by strip till its good, calculate, then order weights to make it cleaner lol

Sent LTDx LS back. Found it forgiving w/ right level of low-spin, but never caught a very great feeling off of it. Even w/ good swings/ results, just felt “dead” or muted. No “bombs” or “epic distance for mishits.” Misses were low and left (hung in nicely) - but felt too similar to the Gen5 PXG I was replacing.

I did only hit w/ HZRDUS Blue, and kind of crossed up design/ intent by lead taping back… due to that shaft, and lesser head weight vs. my PXG weighting. Experience matched a lot of what I read and personally, I should have tried standard LTDx, maybe stock Motore. Was looking for a little more launch and distance. Happy in a $200 Epic Max LS w/ HZRDUS Red, for time being… but will continue shopping thru this year.

Played the ltdx ls al last season. Had it set up at 10* with 2 10g weights. Very low spin, launched high. Was forgiving. Feel was firm off the face. Sound was very muted. Moved to a tsi3 for this season. Better feel, better sound. Launch monitor numbers are very consistent

So I have 3 rounds on my ltdx LS I just picked up. Swapped the ventus black 6x ive been using into the Cobra. 45" playing length, (2) 10 gram weights playing D5. All i can say is this driver is amazing. Sounds and feels nice, sits better behind the ball to me than my Stealth did, seems way more forgiving, and because it flies to straight its actually longer which is surprising me! Ive only missed the "infiniti zone" 2 times which is a miracle in itself LOL. This setup seems to be magic for me and i will not make any adjustments. Could be honeymoon but honestly ive never hit so many straight drives in my life.

I have a LTDX coming to compare against my LTDX LS head.  I've been curious how much more forgiving the non LS is and if it'll get rid of some of the fade bias I've been fighting in the LS head.   Could just be my junk swing path but well find out

i just saw a video from ep studios I believe and guy was saying ltdx ls was the most fade bias driver out of the driver models that year. After hearing that I do believe it but not to say I can’t turn it over but when I miss it low it does punish me with that fade bias.

The weight in the LS doesn't seem to make much of any change to ball flight , it wants to go right no matter what the weight setting in the heel port is.  I had a 16 gram in the heel / 2 gram in the toe and didn't notice any difference when a 4 gram in the heel and a 12 gram in the toe.

I just picked up the LS with Tensei for 254 from Rock Bottom Father's Day sale. I will probably sell the shaft for a buck on the bay and start the comparison process. This all happened because I switched to the Tour AD HD shaft (white and baby blue) and my black/gold combo wasn't as slick as the red/blue. I ordered the 9* head LTDx head (as a backup) and it was scratched under the clearcoat so I sent it back and had a WRXer moment and opted for the LS to try. Time to tinker and squeeze a few more yards out.
