I’m told this is the order: KM-700 would be the most forgiving of the 4 models.

MB-101
MC-501
TC-201
KM-700

The Miura social team described the same, KM700 being more forgiving than the rest, on their IG post. I'm really curious about these but man they are so much more expensive than their other models.

These kind of make the think of epon 305 transformed into a blade style and the finish looks similar to what they are using on the personal premium they are dropping. Interested in the sole grinds on this model and the top line thickness compared to mc501.. two different metals used is cool. I think this one will be hit.

However I was also told:

In the true definition of the term, “Muscle Back” would apply to the KM700.  It is important to acknowledge how Miura san, using the Miura 14 step manufacturing process, has been able to design an iron which defies the long-standing perception that a MB iron is only for the good player.

I had a chance to hit the 7i off a mat into a net a couple of days ago.

So, yeah, it looks a little different up close with the toe grind, but at address none of that funkiness is visible and looks fine. If anything, slightly open look at address (which I liked), and a high looking toe.

The strike definitely had that nice, dense Miura feel. With the extra weight at the bottom, I would guess the ball would launch high, but I had no way to measure that.

I also hit the Miura TBZero at the same place, and I would say overall I preferred that over the KM700...but I'm curious to see how the latter would perform on the course.

Final disclosure: I've never gamed Miura irons, so I have no favourites. I was only hitting off a mat into a net and not taking data. It was a very casual thing, as I had gone into the shop with a totally different request (reshaft of a fairway wood).

I hit 6~7 shots with each, and all were good. Shaft with the KM-700 was, IIRC, Modus 115, and the shaft with the TBZero was the updated DG200.

What size blade length/height are these in person? Similar to a T100 size head? Any comparisons you can think of. Debating ordering a set from Peoples Golf right now.

I can't compare to the T100s because I've not really looked at them. Actually, I didn't look that closely at the KM700, either. The TBZero had a slightly shorter blade length, but I'd still put the KM700 in the "compact category". The toe looked high, but that could be a trick of the eye.

The high toe reminded me a little of RAM Tour Grinds. Not super-high, but just a touch high and pointy.

I'll most likely go back to the shop this week, and if I do, I'll take a closer look.

Crikey, the week's not even over yet!

Actually, I was in the shop yesterday. I couldn't take photos, unfortunately.

The KM700 head size is not much bigger than the TBZero. I'd definitely say it's more on the compact side. The toe is squarer, but not completely straight like some older blades, and the top of the toe is quite pointed, which gives the impression at address of having a deep face. However, in an eyeball comparison with the TBZero, the face depth does not appear to be noticeably different.

The biggest difference is the offset. I can't speak for every iron in the set, only the 7i, but it has what I'd call a "generous" amount of offset. More than the T100S, which I took a peek at yesterday as well in a different shop.

After looking at them yesterday, I thought that there's a little too much offset for my liking.

Ohh, really. 😕 I am just looking on the FP, Face Progression, on miuragolf.com and it states is more in line with tc-201. But would you say it is more similar to mc-501?

Can't say because I'm not familiar with the mc-501.

The only KM-700 club I've seen in the flesh is the 7i, and I would say the offset appears to be on the generous side. It's funny though, because I just checked an online pic of the KM700 at address and it didn't seem to have anything like the offset that I saw yesterday.

Maybe it appeared exaggerated to me because I was looking at the TBZero at the same time.

Makes me ALMOST want to cancel my TC/MB combo but I’ve been after this set combo for years. How’d you get these so fast? I’m having my set built up with BB&FCO ferrules as well - sending to Miura’s assembly.

The KBS Experience in Carlsbad ordered them the day of the release and finished them up fast.  I always have some BB&F ferrules on hand just in case 😁

Mine are being fitted for shafts as I 'speak'.

Hopefully I will have them in hand for my Thursday tee time.  (there was a mixup on some of the shafts so the clubmakers had to re-order otherwise they'd be done today).

I currently game CB-301s and those replaced CB-57s.  I also have 7 thru PW in MB-101s but those are a little too unforgiving for me at the moment.
