The members aren't there as the course is closed from May to October.

 

Looks like the 13th is getting a much needed face lift, including pushing the tees back a touch.  Meh, leave the trees right in front of them.  Make Rory hit over them with driver.

I certainly hope members are getting a discount on their membership. Expecting them to pay full price is crazy. At least a percentage off at the clubhouse or a lowered monthly food & drink minimum.

Looks to me as though they are bringing a second creek across the fairway in the layup zone.  That will make the players think!

Thought they wanted to see where the equipment reform would go before that... but if not, would bring an interesting driver tee shot (even more) on that hole - even more of a risk/reward hole (?)

Correct me if I am wrong, but I remember reading that the monthly fees were something like $300 and the revenue from the Masters covered the course all year.  Getting in is another matter.

Some of the greatest backgammon games in US History are played at Augusta, rumor has it that Stephens joined ONLY for that reason....turned out to be a decent contributor to golf.

We are fine. When you are members here, you tolerate greatness. Please do not victim-shame with the same low-rent perspective that you do for your local swim-n'-golf CC. We do things different here, you would not get it. We don't need a pizza and donut coupon, enjoy your swim.

I had the same thought.  I’m a good mind to drive down tonight and see if they have guards there 24/7.  Only way I’m getting in it looks like.

I think in Georgia it’s pickled peach.  
 

 

Side note. I’ve often wondered if pickeled peaches is just a SC / GA thing ?  We eat them with beans.  And cornbread.  They’re quite sour and yet very good.  Any other parts of the country make those ?
