I don't actually hate him. But as life-long Texas Longhorn fan, it's really really easy to not pull for an aggie 😉

Looks like a barn burner of a match, too bad it is not on this morning.  Hopefully it carries over like this into the afternoon.

 

Cheering for Carr as my daughter transferred to GS this year. GS Mens team is crazy this year - all of the seniors stayed to do their 5th year so 13 in total.  Qualifying must be nuts.  My daughter said all of the 5th years drove up the other day to watch him so they will continue to add to the atmosphere today.

 

Most I've been invested in watching the ams in a while with Monet Chun going deep in the Womens then Ben going deep in the Mens.

love his confidence,  and he flushes his irons in a very controlled fashion.  Not the “ hit it high as possible flush “ that so many hit where they really Don’t know  where it’s going.  Watch this kid hit them.  He knows at impact. The club twirls will show this.  Plus SEC.  😂

The bunker shot on 17 leading to birdie yesterday was sweet.  That won him the match imo.  Not easy to do with a mid/long iron.

I'd have confidence too if I knew that my opponent would be falling asleep because I take so long without so much as a hint of a penalty.

Lol. He’s in a USga match play event. Every group has a traveling official. Call me when he gets a penalty.  Otherwise it’s good play.  Many match play opponents beat themselves by playing too fast. They want it to be over vs relishing the challenge.

The fact that slow play is not penalized properly by those enforcing the rules show it isn't a rule at all.  It is really evident when you see it in match play.  Either enforce the rule or remove it from the game.  As it is now the game suffers because everyone can time how long a player takes to hit a shot and it is obvious many players take too long. Bennett is just another one of those players.

Anybody timed how long it has taken ? What’s the rule for Allotted  time ?  
 

this type thing must be quantified- not just judged on motions that folks don’t agree with.

TV golf am or pro really only cares if the 6 o'clock news is on time. However, like most here this fidgety guy this afternoon is annoying.

Usga rules for the Curtis cup allow 40 seconds plus 10 percent for timing variance, so 45 seconds. I expect this competition is similar.  I expect 40 seconds has Ben exceeded multiple times with no penalties given.
