Very cheap, but I love each and every club. None were compromises in any way. The irons kicked a set of AP1 out of the bag, once I re-shafted them with Nippon 950GHs from another set I had. The wedges kicked out Callaway X-Forged, Jaws, V Forged, Nike VR Forged, T10s, ATV, 588s etc. The RIfe kicked out Seemore M3, Maranellos, Ansers, Odyssey Versa #7 etc.

Not sure why some people brag on here about how much they have spent...like spending thousands is going to buy you a 12 foot putt. Not a very good quality, if you ask me. I am a HS teacher and coach, so I shop for deals if something needs fixing...because it is always the club's fault. I am quite happy with my frugal dealings, however.

Yeah, its A LOT but I'm a club ho and freely admit it. I like bargains and back then my SLDR head & shaft was a STEAL considering that TM wanted $550 for the combo and I didn't pay anywhere near that but I had a great club fitting with TM though. The SLDR TS was quite a find imo and made better with the D+ shaft. The SLDR 17* hybrid was a steal as well at that time, and I cannot BEST that plain-jane stock 82H Fujikura, it flat out bombs and tight. I wasted $20 trying to replace it with a Kuro Kage of the same weight and the KK could not even come close - but it was smoother though but who wants smooth when stock just plain bombs and tight.

Now the Recoils, I did not expect to change my irons from KBS to them. I played a round with my pro who suggested I swing easier as I work too hard to compress the KBS, next thing I know I was smoking a buddy's R11 irons with the regular 65gm graphite at the range the next week - I was literally hitting it way longer than my KBS with little effort. Graphite iron shafts! My eyes were opened.

That was it - the turning point for me. I had to change and I like the PAIN FREE and NO SWEAT workout with the graphite.

Thanks to this site (with its multiple Steelfiber vs Recoil vs the rest of the world), I came to the conclusion the Recoil Pro 95 was the right mix given my load and swing and ultimately, what my end goals & expectations were. I contacted dmael here after his awesome pot (aka Doug Mael), a PA TourSPX dealer to try some shafts but I was already hooked on the 1st choice - the 95 recoil pro. Been loving it since and my swing has been more relaxed and reflected in my scores, shooting a +1 round at my regular course the 1st round. After the honey moon, I was +9 but due to bad driving (its on and off and on and off - you all know the story).

Speaking of IRS, I only reported $1,170. I guess I "don't report my fair share" but I am PROUD of it

I picked up a bag at a pawn shop for $165 that had a 913 driver, Kombi long putter, and Adams hybrids and irons. Sold the driver for $225, took the $225 and bought a used futura x DB off craigslist for $250. Then traded that at a local shop +$25 for a new 36" futura x DB.

Very happy with this set up. I think I'm good for a while.
