Longer release cycles with blades makes sense to me. Blending with blades is a nice to have but probably not something that many would take up. I suspect they found that with the 45 and 65 series which is why they changed it.

 

That said, if they offered something fairly neutral in the blades like titleist do then that would make blending with blades easier.

Pro and pro 2 were technically muscle cavity but the True weren’t. However I wasn’t comparing as a blade vs blade or muscle cavity, I was simply referring to the resemblance of the back of the srixon to the tzoid(Whether it be the true, pro, pro2 or comp ez).

Yeah it looks like the ZF2 team wanted to make an uglier iron with all of the forgiveness removed.

Brent Grant recently put a set in play at the RSM this past weekend. I wasn't the biggest fan originally, but they are slowly growing on me.

They look so much better than the original pictures. Also, the rounded toe is very reminiscent of the 965 blades, which I had blended with the 765 and loved very much.

 

Those 965 were also very forgiving for a blade

I like these. They remind me of my old T-zoids, and I support putting more mass under center rather than in the perimeter.

I'll look forward to trying them down the road.

My friend that's on their staff and got fitted recently said these are stupid forgiving for a blade and close to the Zx7 mkII's in distance.
