Need to unload a lot of clubs ideally in the fewest transactions - recommendations?

Hi Guys - as a typical club ho, I have accumulated a ton of clubs. Can any of you give any recommendations as the best way to unload them in large groups vs. one off transactions like a putter or wedge at a time?  We are going to be finishing our basement and I need to free up space. The clubs are all nice name brand clubs in great shape. Or if there’s someone with the same club ho disease let me know and your collection could grow potentially.

Watts .......we allow you to bring in a multitude of clubs for store credit that never expires.  I had a guy bring in 4 sets of irons , 15 hybrids,  20 wedges and about 25 putters getting nearly 4,000 in store credit.

You can trade them in for store credit at Global Golf. They have an online form for telling you what they're worth and submitting them for the sale. They pay shipping.

 

There's a similar thing at Clubs4Cash, they will actually PayPal you the money vs. store credit. But when you fill out the form with all our stuff, they may or may not want some items. You have to wait for them to approve.

 

I like to cash stuff in at Clubs4Cash and whatever they don't want I send to Global Golf. So I always have plenty of Global Golf credits pending!

If it worked for you great I guess but..... by a quick check of a single club.....

PXG Proto driver on both Golf Stix and Golf Club Brokers.

 

On Stix it is valued at $64 and on Brokers it is $90.

It's like anything else, you have to shop around.  Clubs are going to vary company to company, even week to week.  The OP just asked who we dealt with.

Last month, I off-loaded some clubs at budgetgolf.com.  Unlike many places that only want to give you credit toward future purchases, they pay cash in the form of a check or PayPal.  And I found the prices I got, as good or better than most other sites and their trade-in values.  Could I have gotten a bit more by selling them on the BAY or here?  Probably... but just didn't feel like enduring the hassle.

if you are in a decent size town or a golf heavy area - try Facebook Marketplace to sell as a full group....

I always use play it again sports as with kids, who knows what sport they will be into next and my credit is tied to my phone number. Makes life easy.

Yes, it is def better to email them for trade in quotes of you have anything that isn’t stock. They get back to you with one 1-2days usually.

While it can be a pain sometimes dealing with tire kickers, can you not bundle things together?  I know this is an old(er) thread, but maybe bundling a driver, fairway, iron set, wedge, and maybe a putter.  Would probably make more than trading in (especially if you really don't want to put it towards any new equipment) and you get rid of a lot at a time.  During the run up to the season, there's a few places around me that have swap shops where guys drop off gear they want to sell for.  There's also a few consignment shops around as well.  It might not hurt to check them out too.
