About $10 from Advance Auto plus the cost of lead tape and a Sharpie. I just filled it, shaved it level with an xacto knife and lead taped it. Scotty would likely puke if he saw it. It’s just metal, not gonna cry too much about it.

Without the lead tape is the sightline very noticeable after using the body glazing?

Yeah, it’s kinda hideous. I ran tape on the left and right of the line so it would be overfilled, then shaved it flush with a single edge razor blade. Trick is so that the line doesn’t show through the lead.

Thanks for the picture that helps. Wonder if there is any stainless colored glazing you could try. Probably still show up though.

Thing is, it’s there and you know it’s there. That’s why the lead tape. Don’t think I hadn’t considered taking a Dremel to it. That area isn’t flat so you gotta kinda deal with it.

Not a question specific to the line per se, but how much more “forgiving” do you view this line vs say something +20 years old like a Pro Platinum.   Additionally are the Plus models really that much different than the regular? 
 

To me there’s no dispute I’m sure the additional weight movement makes them factually “more forgiving” but is it something only a putting sensor would pick up, or are the differences that perceptible to the end user?

I think the weight concentration in the toe and heel makes a real world difference. I’ve hit some crap putts that travelled very well vs where it struck them on the putter.

A little more forgiving but nothing like a Spider or LAB.   You still need to strike these putters.

I think you can get a dot milled for $20-30 at some places. Welding in the line and refinishing is probably at least a couple hundred, a lot of places won’t even attempt it.

I found the face and topline on the Special to be quite thin and I hated it. Rolled the Newport 2+ and it is much better. Feels awesome off the face but I hate how thin the grip is

Excited as heck to receive that "Your Order Has Shipped" Confirmation.  Probably be another 7-10 days for me. My dealer was able to submit my preorder in early feb last month. I'm thinking thats why mine was ahead in first batch.

Yeah, I didn’t do any real metal work obviously so she’ll remain a beater. Debating on an orange dot on the top line but there’s no return once it’s done. I’ve got another in the works that’ll get some love.

Can someone help me understand the difference between the Squareback and the Newport 2+? Is the Squareback just a bit wider from front to back?

Anyone know the standard weight of the Super Select Fastback 1.5? Looking between the standard and the heavy model. Heavy adds 5grams to each heal/toe weight. Total of 10grams.
