Inside scoop… the “T” irons are gone in the Gen6. The 0317 will be offered in 3 heads. Cavity back, muscle back and Super Tour. The 0311 will just be the P and XP.

Confirmed this morning.

Interested to see the difference between MB and ST heads. Can’t wait for the CB’s.

They just look fantastic from address. A slightly larger s55. The new Ping stuff has some funky lines going on between hosel and heel. Top down photo on these is BUENO

That is the main thing I like about PXG irons. Some manufacturers seem to work on their weight distribution and the rear of the head, then address position be damned. PXG seem to go the other way. Even the more chunky irons still look decent at address to me.

I could see these 0317 seducing a few guys on Tour. I think PXG have needed a non-goo iron that wasn’t a full MB. I mean, a lot of us hackers have reservations about the goo, so I imagine guys on tour have even more.

Yeah I think PXG has been missing that more forgiving Iron the tour guys like.  You see tour guys picking up T100, i210s, JPX Tours and P7MC but there just aren’t very many hitting hollow body irons.

Yup. They finally have a direct competitor to T100, the most popular iron on tour. Also should be a direct competitor to TM P7MC.

We are starting to see SOME hollow-body adoption on tour. Lotta TM guys putting P770 long irons in the bag. Also T200, which is basically a hollow-body concept with a soft back. Meanwhile Pat Perez is out there playing 0311P. Definitely an outlier.

What other choice do they have in the long irons? The MC’s are as unforgiving as the MB’s. I’m sure pros would rather play a true cavity back, but TM is missing that in their line up.

Yeah I agree.  If you look in the P770 thread there are allot of people pining for an updated P760.  I think the PXG CB’s are a great move.

🤔 Does David Scott (don’t know him) have a good track record? I can tell you that my source has direct connection to PXG but I’m hoping he’s wrong and the T irons remain. Guess we will see.

I've had time to chat with my contact and this "David Scott" seems to be mistaken. My contact was looking at the factory order form they send to their wholesale partners  -- there is 100% no gen6 0311 T model being offered. Interestingly, the 0317CB is on the form and the gen5 0317ST, but no 0317MB or gen6ST refresh. He thinks perhaps those have been pushed back.

Also, supposedly there will be a special version of the 0311 irons called "Blackhawk" which are all black, including the weights. They expect those to come to the US at a later date, initially being released internationally at first.

Gen6 launch dates say "March", Blackhawk and 0317CB say "April" on his form.

Guess we'll all find out soon enough as PXG trickles out the release information.

Blackhawk….have they finally listened to all the people screaming for black weights on black irons?!? One can dream.

Great time of year, it's like waiting for Christmas almost every day with various OEM drops...We'll find out soon enough from PXG, in the meantime, let's hope David has no relation to Michael...

Not sure him or anyone else see posting online.  I just post up stating there were to conflicting statements.
If I was to get money….would definitely put money on you as fast as the Gen6 release goes.  Some people think what they have in hand or the pics they saw were one thing, and they turn out to be something totally different.
