New Edel SMS Pro Irons

I just ordered a combo set of the sms and the sms pros.

 

I have been using the sms wedges for 2 years and love them. 

 

I went 4-6 iron in the SMS and 7-W in the SMS Pro.

They are the best irons on the market.  And just wait until you see what else will be coming in 2024   😉

Dang I wish I would’ve saw this yesterday.  Really want to give the SMS Pro a try.  Website shows sold out today.

It was just the sms model. Not the pro that was available—at least when I ordered it.

Correct.  We felt the SMS covered the most based and for those who might want the Pro it still demonstrates the performance benefits of the weights.  Also most players end up in combo sets that break at 6 or 7 iron.

Do they have any plans of making any options in left handed? Or will this be another one of those “only in my dreams” type setup?

I was able to get in on this in time and have a demo coming.  Loved how you were able to pick your shaft and built to your specs.  Looking forward to getting it.

Impressive how they did this.  I already feel like I will show up on J13's doorstep for a fitting after this.

I'm literally 15 to 20 miles from his doorstep, and while I've talked many times about going to see him, I have yet to do so.  Maybe this demo will push me over the edge 🙂

Ah so you were the Maryland boys that grabbed them! The demo program was extended to the first 100 players and needles to say we hit that number quickly.  Enjoy gents!

I'm glad they went with the SMS.  If this works out, I'd likely find myself in a combo set, and I feel like the long irons are where I'd want to see some improvement.  I would possibly have preferred a six iron, but I'm still excited to get the demo club.

There are several of us Maryland guys that are not far from York area, maybe a spring or summer get togther at Links of Gettysburg or  Royal Manchester or something would be fun to do.

Love it! I have a great group of York guys that I know would be in. Heard Royal might be houses in a little over a year 😬

I'd be up for it if my schedule allows.  If you come this way, I would not play the Links.  It has been in horrible shape the past couple of years.  In the process of being sold.  Carroll Valley was in awesome shape this past year.

Wow...disappointing to hear on the Links.   Haven't played it for a couple years, but always enjoyed the challenge.

My combo set and wedges came yesterday and of course it snowed but I took them to the sim today and love them. Played with the weights some and am still deciding exactly where I want the weight. Also looking at some previous discussions in this thread I think I am going to get some more heavy weights and see what that does. Good thing I have all winter to fiddle with them.

Great area, I’m right between Phoenixville and West Chester. 
 

Is the goal of moving the weights to get a straight ball flight?
