I’m not saying it’s not a scam, but USPS prices are ridiculous for golf clubs. Tell him to use FedEx or UPS to save some money. Last time I shipped irons, I paid $15 for UPS using Pirateship.

Maybe I missed it but did you actually get the refund? Sellers have to eat the paypal fee now on refunds. This one has all the red flags including the OP firing back at people trying to help.

Came here to say the same. And, by the way, Paypal's Shipstation prices match Pirateship for UPS. Uncertain if they match USPS and FEDEX but they definitely are synced up for UPS. 

 

Additional $50 to ship on top of expecting to pay shipping is arguably the biggest red flag here.

It wouldn't be a "refund" since it was friends and family (so no fees to eat)

I would have said since I paid FF and you were not charged the fees for PP put that money saved towards the shipping. That works unless the agreed upon price was based on FF.

You should create a PDF of all communications with the seller and send to Paypal or call them directly and ask for them to reverse the payment.  Might work, might not but worth a try.

This is the exact reason why there are still scammers on this site. Despite warning upon warning upon warning people still pay with F&F.

I refunded twice and paid NO fees.  Just do not remove the money and just refuse the payment.

Still nothing.  I texted him an hr ago asking when he thinks he will send the refund.  No reply back.   I’m gonna send all of our correspondence to PayPal and my credit card issuer and let them handle it.   You live and learn.  It’s not the end of the world.  The hunt continues!!!

Yeah, don't beat yourself up over it.  I did it once as well but not on here. Thankfully I was able to get my money back and hope you do too.

Thanks man👍🏼🍻 I’m just a good ole boy who’s used to people doing what they say they will.  I learn all my lessons the hard way lol.   It was just carelessness on my part.
