Neat pics.  Loving the wedge drill out weight removal and going raw no paint fill.

 

I could be mistaken but this may be the first Wilson staffer I've seen actually put the DYNAPWR driver in the bag.  Spoke too soon though... I see he's also got the Paradym in the bag.  Will be interesting to see which he goes with but if like other staffers, my hunch is the Cally but it would be cool to see the Wilson in play.

Barnes was in contention last week in Puntacana event opposite the match play event. Ended up 7th. His OWGR rank went from around 1500 to the low 900's. First top 10 since 2017.

I remember following Barnes during the 2002 US Am here in Michigan and thinking how he was a sure thing to make it as a pro.  He beat Hunter Mahan, Mahan made it (for awhile) and he didn't. This game is so freaking hard, and winning the AM isn't necessarily a good predictor of Tour success

Pretty cool to see this, was actually wondering the other day what happened to him. I was in the group behind him in a college tourny, lots of long waits/tee back ups and it was fun to watch him pipe driver.

Those irons are quite nice looking. Looks like you got a pic of the Wilson driver before it saw a single ball!

Huge contract bonus for playing that staff ball. In its defense it’s not a bad ball , but holy smokes they do not stay white for long. Not sure why a consumer would go there over the big 4-5 brands in my experience with its durability @ $50

Fellow Nor Cal guy. I played with his father numerous times, "Big Boy" Barnes was a good player himself but was better known for being a Punter in the NFL for a short time. Brother Andy was early on considered a better golfer when young until Ricky won the Amateur.

Definitely right on the driver account. Face and sole will show even a single hit.

 

Funny seeing both Ricky & Padraig with full Wilson head cover setups but one to no Wilson woods in the bag. Guess I haven't fully paid attention but not something I'd noticed with others. Felt like it's usually custom covers if they're playing something other than their main contract brand up top.

I actually hit the driver a couple of weeks ago and was quite taken with it. Now it's not going to get anywhere close in getting the TSR2 out of my bag but it definitely had something about it.
