I am new to the world of putters so this may be a goofy question, but would this shaft work in a Bettinardi Queen Bee 7?

No, that's an over the hosel setup and this needs to be inserted into a hosel cup.

What you need at a comparable price would be the UST All-In shaft either the steel tip if the tip on your putter is .370 which most Bettinardi are or the Retrofit which you cut the existing shaft at a certain length and insert into the All-In shaft.

Alright, the Special Select Squareback has the matte black installed and is on the drying rack as we speak. Also got shipping notice for my Mil-Spec head on the way back from BOS, the gloss white will be going in there later this week. I am playing Wednesday next week for sure but might see if I can get out this Friday....so I'll have some feedback soon. For what it's worth, this thing is going to look SICK.

Does this kbs shaft reduce ballspeed off the putter face?

I have the ust all-in and I love the feel. BUT...ballspeed off the face is slower than a steel shaft. Putting on slow, summer bermuda, I need all the ballspeed I can get.

I don’t have data but to me it seemed like I left a few putts a little shorter than I thought I would (like beautiful end over end 1-2” short for 5 straight holes on birdie putts! 😂).. there were also a few longer ones that came up short but could have been misread as well.

Can’t say for sure.. but it’s also hard because I still was rolling the ball so darn well!

I just played my first round with the new putter setup. I normally shoot mid-high 80s with a good round low 80s. I shot even par on the front. 2 Birdies, 2 Bogies. Back 9 got rained out but I was +2 through 5 holes and coming off another birdie. Granted my ball striking was better than average but the putter was hot. Rolling in 8-10 footers like they were tap-ins. I can’t say how much of this was actually the shaft because I did spend a lot of time practicing with it on my putting mat and on practice greens but I can certainly say I’m happy with the shaft and feeling confident with it.

Apologies if this is a silly question - but would this fit in a heel shafted mallet, like a Del Mar or Oddysey #9 - or even a Method 003? 🙂

No it wouldn't.

Need to use a steel tip shaft like a BGT, UST All-In or LAGP SoHo. Also have to make sure the post size matches the shaft tip size.

Unrelated to the graphite shaft, but KBS kinda quietly released a stepped version of the CT Tour putter shaft, just named the "KBS Tour" shaft. It's the same exact price as the CT Tour but should have a bit more kick/feel to it (at least in theory). I've got it curing in a putter right now and am looking forward to giving it a test.

Ah never mind. I had a graphite shafted putter in the 90s (and 00s for that matter) which felt lovely, was hoping I could recreate it without spending £300+.

That's interesting. KBS really bringing the options to the putter shaft market. And with reasonable price points. 👍

Yeah, I've been eyeing that one but there's no feedback from anyone on it. So I'll be anxious to hear what you think. I like the feel of a stepped shaft in a putter and it's impossible to find black stepped shafts right now, so this is an intriguing option.

Shaft showed up a day early.  Went ahead and built it out.  Went a little unorthodox and threw a ferrule on because the colors couldn't have been more perfect between the shaft, ferrule, and head.  Sometimes it's fun to build them different!

Is this the white gloss or matte? I am having a hard time choosing but this looks great!

For those that got matte finish, how is the durability? Is it chipping at all? Planning to get the matte black.

also… for anyone used to Stability or LAGP, try tipping the KBS GPS 1”, should help firm up the torque.

Have had mine for a month or longer and I have matte black. Do not see any issues with paint or scratching. I do try and gently put it back in the bag but seems to be holding up well. I would be curious how other colors are holding up.

Debating a white or silver for my CC button back.

If there was a finish issue trust me - there wouldn't be any hesitation from people to whine about it on here

Currently have the stock shaft in my Newport 2, and it feels too whippy for me (playing the putter at 37” doesn’t help). Was gonna go with a ct tour as I’ve always liked that shaft, but this graphite now has me intrigued.  For those that have played both, which one would you say is stiffer?

The way that I looked at it was I know the CT Tour is a great shaft but in the back of my mind I'd always be wondering about the graphite shaft so had to try it out

The CT Tour greatly improved my putting. Do you feel this is worth the $100 upgrade?

I got one in a Yes! Anser style head. The shaft feels so completely different to steel, there really isn’t any movement. First three putts with it on the green I made (6’, 8’, 18’). With a full practice session I could feel substantially tighter dispersion. The ball was always tracking towards the hole. No bad putts, everything was always on the edge or rolling in. It’s earned a spot in my bag next year. Hopefully I can break my low of a -6 66 for 18 next year.

I picked up a Bettinardi studio stock 9 and it had a black GPS in it.  For reference my gamer is a studio stock 8 with steel, so not apples to apples.  I’ve played a couple times with it, haven’t decided if I like it yet.  Definitely a different feel than steel, I found it made the head feel a little lighter.

My feel is, it isn’t as stiff as some other graphite putter shafts I’ve tried, which I prefer.  Going to keep messing around with it.

Will add my expereince as I installed one on a White Hot 7 CH to 36 inches.  I also have the same putter with the red Stroke Lab shaft, so easy to go back and forth and compare.

The KBS feels more firm and and a bit more "stiff" if that makes sense, where the Stroke Lab feels a bit looser and lively.  I have made a fare share of putts with both in tournament settings (think more team events and member guests).  I will say I do think distance control for me is a bit easier with the Stroke Lab, but feel more confident close in (8 feet) with the KBS.

Just changed the grip as orginally it was an Iomic - but have had great success with the Super Stroke Tour Pistol 1 in the same putter with the stroke lab.  A bit of stormtrooper feel which I can't wait to get out to the practice green.

Just reporting back after getting this out on the putting green and for a quick 9 hole round.  With the grip change - it is much better feeling (I used the term lively above) and was just point and shoot accurate.  Made a few 20+ footers and everything looked like it had a chance.  Most likely honeymoon phase, but really liking it so far.

Has anyone extended their GPS shaft?  Or know a good way to do it?  Gonna install mine in a different putter and could use some more length.

Do you have the shaft drop from cutting it to length originally?  If so just cut your extension from that - take some mesh drywall tape between the two with some epoxy
