Hovland new irons at 2023 Scottish Open?

Clubs have to have bag appeal or at least not be off putting. Will have to see how these look in person. Otherwise just sticking with my iblades.

Long time Hovland fan here. Before he signed with Ping he had a full bag of TaylorMade clubs including the P750 irons.
 

From the initial look of these Blueprint S protos, I think he might have had some influence in the design with those in mind as the more I look at the photos available to more I see a i210 / p750 love child and I’m not disappointed about that as someone who plays both of those irons and loves them both. 
 

One question for the group. When I was watching the featured group coverage on Thursday on ESPN+, I thought I heard the announcer say in speaking with him on the range that he hates the look but couldn’t deny the performance. Did anyone else happen to catch that? I’ll see if I can watch archived features group rounds.

Just rewatched the clip and the announcer said the opposite that when he asked Viktor why he switched, he said “I love the look” and that they are more “bladed” than his current set which help him control trajectory.

Absolutely most interesting to me is they are going without MicroMax grooves. Guess that's 1 generation and done. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I saw somewhere that Hovland has a full set 4-p. and Hatton has 6-p in these and i230's in the 4/5. Not sure if that's accurate.

Hovland didn’t transition to 230 bc of spin rate. Even tried putting 210 grooves on 230 and didn’t work out. 

Confirmed that 530 is scheduled for release next year. New wedges as well.

You and me both. I truly believe i bought my last new truck in 2012.  I recall thinking $40k was asinine then.  This makes the og blueprint look better and better.
