This is so interesting - may be the first time I've ever seen someone with the TSR2 driver and TSR3 3 wood. I've wanted to try both fairways and am not sure which one would be a better fit.

He's been in the Ventus Black since earlier this year.  He was talking about wanting less spin.

It just depends. In this case, the stock T100 4 iron is 24*, so a 21* 4 hybrid makes sense.

3* difference plus the hybrid would be significantly longer and lighter. If anything he might say the gap is sometimes too big between them.

This is pretty typical with PX Rifle users. Some use S400s in wedges if they want heavier, others use one flex softer.

yeah. That’s why Project X release wedge specific shafts… because guys like Jordan and Rory want to keep the Project X in their wedges but go down a flex, and that means they’re forced to go down in weight. 
 

On a personal note, I had a set wedge set built up with lighter shafts than my irons, and I play them over 7-8 other contenders, so don’t blanket discount lighter wedge shafts. Modern wedge heads are getting so darn heavy, especially for someone like me, who plays clubs +3/8”.

He used 6.0 in his irons to win all his majors. He only switched to 6.5 in the irons in the last 2-3 years. Maybe he is just used to the 6.0 in the wedges?
