I can’t express enough, you’ve gotta go hit all 3 heads. From what I’ve gathered and even my fitting, results are allllll over the place. I ended up going with a mid mid shaft 10.5 LS.

I tried the standard with a TR 6x blue tipped 1”. For me it felt so stable but (and I’ve recently become a bit of a lower spin player needing more spin) but 10.5 head opened 1 click was 14 launch and I couldn’t get the spin above 1800rpms with the standard head.

Fitted for the Stealth 2 Plus last year. GooD driver and I had a lot of success with it. Ordered a Qi10 in the same loft as I hoped it would be more forgiving. Took it to the sim last night. Dropped the loft down to 7 and was amazed. Much better looking, much more

user friendly. I don’t usually hit well in a sim but one after another was straight as a string. Was getting the same launch as the Stealth 2+, much better control and increased ball speed by 5 mph which I can only attribute to the face being open so I feel like I can really release it without it going left. Increased carry by just shy of 10 yards. Would not have guessed it having been fit last year. Can’t wait for warmer weather.

Yea i had the opportunity to hit the standard and LS. Honestly liked the LS feel off the face better, but it barely spun at 2100 on fades. just knew it wouldn't work for me when I hit a draw.

I have two hours of Trackman coming tonight to compare these two. And I'm a 108-110SS/-1*AoA/-4* swing path guy so I hit mostly fades and have always tried to find the lowest spin head I could. Cant agree more that you probably have to hit all these heads for yourself to see what works.

I had similar results in my fitting as well. I was getting 1600 ish backspin out of draws in the LS which is my normal shot shape. Settled on a 10.5 standard model set to lower. The standard Qi10 is the best looking at address compared to Ping and Callaway Max IMO so I’m pretty happy with the results.

I think this year you have to try them yourself. From reviews on YouTube it seems like the Ai smoke is really easy to launch but I was hitting it terribly with no spin no launch. Qi 10 LS launched great for me but just fractionally too low spin. I’m 110 SS, 4 up, 5 in to out.

Today I hit the Qi10 LS w/ 60 gram Diamana S shaft , 10.5 degree head, and wow !!!! I loved it. Its definitely 5yds longer than my TS3, maybe more. I hit one 262 carry, 287 today, which I haven't done in a few years. 148 ball speed. Not bad for a 55 year old.

What stiffness did you hit the Diamana in and what other stock shafts did you try?

That’s interesting. I tried the tensei black and blue also the Kai’li but did not try the Diamana

I’d say it’s a blue board profile with a slightly higher balance point, I don’t think it’s counter balanced though. My gamer is an og Ventus blue 6x tipped .5. So with this stock shaft I get a little more launch out of it and hit it pretty straight. Erred on the side of more spin since my miss is left of left.

I’ll have to give it a try. I need a low spin shaft as spin for me is way to high and a huge issue

Shaft will only do so much. Should really be targeting the head. Low spin design. And especially loft. 
 

Can I ask what kind of spin you’re typically getting?

... As a smooth swinger that has always fit into Mid-Mid-Mid Blueboard style shafts I don't find much difference in them other than feel. And even that is a subtle difference. Higher swing speed hitters may find a bigger difference. If you demo'ed the Tensei Blue and Kai'Li Blue, you basically hit the Diamana T+ as far as spin and trajectory. I too liked the Diamana the best as far as a smooth and dampened feel but would play the Tensei or Kai Li and not feel like I am missing out. I have the Kai'Li Blue in both my fairway woods but for now, I am sticking with the Ventus Red Velo in my Qi10 Max.

I know it’s all me and my swing and I’m working on not coming over the top which kills my distance but here is a good example from a track man

I really don’t need the stock shaft but it’s always good to try something because you never know if it will work out better. I have a va composite Vylan and ventus blue so I’ll be working on those 2 plus the stock as well as my swing to get me back to hitting fairway finders.

We have similar SS but I’m 4-5 in to out and 4 up and I can struggle with spin on modern Ls heads. You might want to try something heavier and something that will help with lowering spin.

... I know that is an anti WRX statement but I 100% agree with you. The majority of the time an aftermarket shaft I own performs better than the stock shaft. But every now and then the stock shaft surprises me and produces the best results. As you said, you don't know unless you try.

DD told me my driver is “in production” and should ship in 1-2 days.

And that’s what I’m going to do, try the Tenesi black I got with it and tested at the fitting and see what works best. If by chance it does then I’ll be selling some shafts.

So heavier as in shaft or head ?  What what could possibly help me with spin besides my swing which I think is 90 percent of the problem.
