Absolute best shoes for walking with wide feet

What are the absolute best walking shoe for a golfer with wide feet? Requesting all opinions.

 

I'm currently using Puma Ignite Articulate which are great.

 

Are Adidas ZG23 as good as people say? What about BOA?

I'm too old to walk a full round, but the Asics Gel Kayano are great for my wide feet plus crazy light and comfortable.

I’m a wide foot and went through about 5-6 different companies. Bought a pair of True Ogs and there is nothing better.  Hard to put on but I never want to take them off. Also my go to travel shoe now

True Linkswear OG Sport are exceptionally comfortable especially for a wider foot.  Very lightweight and grip is nice. I also have the Lux Sport and Lux Hybrid but these run skinnier and are not true to size so go up a 1/2 size or more if you purchase these.

You're probably going to get a lot of different responses since shoes are so personal.

 

For me I've been very, very happy with the Cuater Ringer, just pull out the stock insole to give more space and throw in a SuperFeet FlexThin and my feet are beyond happy and I'm a big dude too which surprised me.

 

Odd thing is they don't come in wide but the toe box is way wider than most shoes out there.

New Balance Fresh Foam Contend. Nice wide box box, great arch support, great stability, very lightweight, and best grip of any spikeless shoe.

Not all of these are available in 14W, but the ones that are look nice. Those New Balance look super sick

I think Ecco fits well but isn't actually that comfortable after walking 18. I think the Code Chaos from Adidas is the best I've found so far.

You won’t be disappointed in the NB Contend. The thing I didn’t mention is that most walking shoes have very soft cushioning that causes shoes to have very little lateral stability. This is where the NB shine for me. They are soft enough for cushion, but still are very stable laterally. I took a pair to Ireland last fall and they were AWESOME!

Always been interested in Eccos and have heard great things, but every shoe I look at caps out at a size too small for me unfortunately

I went up 1/2 size from my normal 9 to 9.5 and they fit perfect.

Hmm.. puts me in a pickle, the 14W is in stock but might be a touch small, and 15W is out of stock.

 

You think normal shoe size would be a bit tight in these?

What brand of golf shoes are you a 14W in? Keep in mind, if you order them online, they have a very easy return policy if they don’t fit.

Puma, Adidas, GFORE are all brands that fit well at 14W. Don't think I've had a brand outside of that in the last 8 years or so

I’m 9.5 in Adidas and New Balance, so 14W should be good.

Gonna disagree on this. They have out the box comfort, but they literally crippled me.

True, absolutely zero arch support or stability. Yes they are comfy, but not supportive in any way.

Surprised nobody has mentioned Sqairz. Super comfortable. I used to have a lot of toe pain and bruised toenails after walking 18 on a hilly course. Switched to Sqairz Mesh and upsized one size and been very happy. As Sir Nick says, it will give you 10 extra yards off the tee……

I would recommend FJ Traditions (spiked or spikeless), super comfortable soft leather, I am a golf shoe HO!!!...lol, I have over 40 pairs of shoes, vast majority FJ (Premier, Traditions, ProSL, Contours, etc), the contours are very comfy as well...but as stated before on the thread, it is up to preference and ultimately you trying the shoes and hope they work for you...

FJ Hyperflex Carbon. I have plantar fasciitis and wide feet and have been very happy with them. Very good fit and very good cushioning. Most stable sneaker-style shoe I've ever had. I walk 9 out of every 10 rounds and just did 72 holes at Sand Valley, and another 36 at home courses, all within two weeks and they were great. 

 

FJ is the only company I am aware of that make 4 widths: wide, extra wide, medium, and narrow. You should be able to find something that fits you within their line.

Zg23 are heavely for walking.  I am above average width guy with flat feet and broader build.  Finding shoes to walk in has been a challenge for sure almost tried everything.  Right now rotate between tw23 and zg23.  Had high hopes for Payntr but awful blisters.  The ringers were good too

Ecco Biom 3.  On pair #3.  Very comfy for walking/carrying, waterproof, and the sole is lasting a long long time.

Definitely New Balance have been good for me - Super wide and tall enough in the instep, to not pinch on the top of the foot - and they're not considered "Dad" shoes anymore - all the cool kids are wearing them now  lol.
