SM10

Just my opinion but I feel like BV and Titleist really missed an opportunity with SM10, with it being a "decade" release to do something bold. I get if it ain't broke don't fix it and believe me I'm a huge fan of vokey simplicity, but even calling it SMX or something with a slight re-design would have gone miles imo. This just looks the same as it has since SM8.

Agreed. They could have done a very subtle (almost blank) back of club and one stamp that stood out. I get the desire to brand but with every brand doing something loud, the things that catch my eye are those that are subtle - like the TSr3. But, we are not who they are really marketing to. They want “Jim Slapnuts” to quickly identify that “Joe Tour” is playing this club and let Jim convince himself he could get down to a 32 handicap if he had a wedge with a higher balance point to flight them in lower with more spin.

Probably an M grind with the leading edge grind from wedgeworks or the JT grind low bounce K (e.g. with leading edge and trailing edge/heel grinds).

Interested to see how the nickel finish holds up, it looks a lot like an unblemished raw finish (but I assume plated). That could be a winner for folk who don't want to spend extra for a custom raw!

Anyone have side by side pics of the new nickel finish vs the previous brushed steel?  Curious as to the look/feel/wear differences if anyone has insight...

 

I am really struggling whether its worth it to get SM9s for 150/e vs SM10s for 190 in nickel.

SM9's if you don't need the latest and greatest.  Look I'm not bashing Vokey's, they're great wedges, but honestly unless there is a new grind that might fit you better, the differences if any are minuscule.

Just order the black then soak it in white vinegar for a few hours. Viola, you have a raw wedge.

My black SM9 will be here tomorrow, that’s what I plan to do.
