Why? These appear to be almost the same with two slightly higher cameras and a remodeled top panel.

Yeah it looks like two of them are a bit higher.

Looks like they also replaced the Hawk w/ a new overhead called Falcon.  Wonder what performance changes there are in both units.

Maybe the higher cameras allow for a larger hitting area, hence Max.  

 

I'm constantly repositioning my GC3 on the range, so it would be nice.  I would think foresight will be at the PGA show and release some info.

According to the other site, the Falcon is essentially a smaller Hawk and does not have soccer capabilities. That is the only difference.

 

Oh and the price. 15k for the Falcon.

Looking forward to seeing what comes out with the quad max. Purchased a GC3 about a year ago and as I’m sure it’s more than fine for a mid am hack like me it’s always fun to test what the pro’s use.

I take that back. I hadn't remembered quite how high they are on the regular Quad.

And with the next up program fully loaded quads are only $10.5k.  They are trying to dump them fast

It's been that for a few years at least. I had a student get one shortly after they introduced the program for that cost.

If adding skins and a larger hitting area wind up being the new improvements/features, I think it's safe to say the simulator market is near it's peak optimization.  Normally that would lead to pricing wars but I'm sure trackman and foresight have a gentlemen's agreement to hold pricing as long as possible before the rest of the market forces them to lower their prices.

According to this week's Fully Equipped Podcast, Gene (owns the robot's used by the USGA, R&A and all major OEM's to test products as well as Golf.com's robot testing and might be tied to ForeSight as well) alluded to the fact that the Quad Max is more than just an updated LCD screen.  He couldn't go into details but noted there are some big changes in store with the Max that will separate it from other Tour quality Launch Monitors.  His hint was "related to Ryan's fitness goals" for what its worth.  Guessing we will find out more at the PGA show later this month.

He said it's an upgrade over the Quad too, said you'll be tempted to upgrade. That's very interesting.

 

I just hope the price is reasonable, because I want something better than the R10 (which is great for the budget)

Same. I have a refurbished Bushnell Launch Pro. But I'd prefer to have a quad. If they remove all the club add on fees that might be enough to get me to bite the bullet.
