I've got a set of the CBX ZipCore Wedges and absolutely love them.  These look a lot nicer without that plastic insert.

Looks like there's still an insert but they managed to tuck it away which is excellent for aesthetics.  Perhaps these will kick some vokeys out of a few honest golfers bags heh

Look great! Very good chance these get in the bag to replace my CBX2s. These wedges are soooooo good and have the tightest launch, spin, and carry dispersion over anything else on the market. I know RTX6 is Cleveland’s flagship, but if they actually marketed the testing of these wedges they would sell a ton of them.

Looks like they straightened the leading edge a touch, and offset seems a little less too. Looking forward to testing them vs my CBX2s

 Great call!  Just took a look too, great options for shafts and grips at no upcharge. Huge Bonus for a GI type club. 

 

Looks to have a little more leading edge grind with the higher bounce which should be awesome.  I have mine (cbx zipcore) bent 1 strong/ 1 flat and they have been fantastic.  The wider v sole is money out of so many different lies and turf/sand. 

 

Can't wait to demo

I say this every time that I have no idea how they can improve these wedges and yet they do it every time

I will try to avoid hitting these so I do not have the urge to splurge

Not sure how long that will last

These look really clean

If they release a satin/bronze/ black finish it's over for me

Those soles look even thicker than the old guys but maybe its just the camera adding 10lbs lol

Saw these in person tonight and they are the best looking yet. Sole is definitely not wider and they actually look a touch smaller. Shape is great. I’m definitely going to customize these 50* and 54* with RTX 6 in the 60*.

These are on top of my list for wedges that I desperately need new wedges this year. My question is how much better are they than the cbx zipcores? I’ve found them online for $99.  Would a high handicap golfer like myself notice that much difference?

Prob not. Save the money. I’m not even sure what could actually be better other than fresh grooves in my case.

I’m sure the new CBX wedges are an improvement, but if you can get the CBX Zips for $99 I would highly recommend doing that because they are excellent.

For the crowd that has gamed the CBXs in the past, are the grooves on the side of the face noticeable / distracting in anyway?  Based on @GolfWRX_Official's shots, they aren't but I wanted to ask others.  For context, I've gamed a variety of wedges in the past, and have decided I'm not a big fan of the full-face grooves (they just don't fit my eyes very well).  I know these are slightly different, but was curious if others have seen the same on the CBX.  Thanks!

Those of you that know, I’m a HUGE fan of the CBX Zipcore wedges. I was able to get out today and try the new CBX4 wedges vs my CBX Zips. 
 

LOOKS

I actually prefer the look of the new CBX4 wedges. The hosel to leading edge transition is much better and the leading edge isn’t as curved. Honestly the cavity, badging, and other visuals don’t concern me because I only care how they look at address. The leading edge sits considerably higher of the ground in the new model. This is not a preferred look of mine.

 

FEEL 

I didn’t notice any difference in feel, which is a good thing because I really like the feel of my wedges.

 

SOLE INTERACTION

This is where I noticed the biggest difference. With the new addition of the pre worn grind of the sole, the leading edge sits much higher. Because of this, it did not work well off tighter lies. I don’t have this issue with my current wedges. On fuller shots it wasn’t as much an issue for me, but off tighter lies I had to change my hand position and technique to insure a clean strike. The sole on the new CBX4 plays with more camber and more actual bounce. If you are steep or play in soft conditions these will be very good. If you play in firmer conditions not so much.

 

VERSATILITY 

While you do have options to play various shots from rough, bunkers, or soft conditions, the new model plays with significantly more bounce. That’s not a good thing or a bad thing, just what it is.

 

I may look into bending I’ve the CBX4 wedges a couple degrees strong to see if I can get the leading edge lower. The great news is that I LOVE my CBX Zips so I may just buy a backup set. If you struggle hitting your wedge shots heavy, or take very big divots, these could be great wedges for you.
