I get mine delivered to my moms house.  She is retired and likes having something to do.  Then she knows I will stop by for lunch soon.

FedEx it is. Yesterday it said my irons had arrived in Sacramento; today it said they had once again arrived in Sacramento. I guess they just drove them around in the parking lot for a while.

I work from home and my home office is on the second floor so I can see when FedEX/UPS pulls up. When they do I run down and open the garage door so I can receive them and have the driver avoid the Ring camera.

With my wife being a CPA, she's gonna notice any big, non-cash purchases, and that's fine by me.  I'm not irresponsible and she agrees that some golf spending beats an expensive mid-life crisis car purchase etc......

I hope I'm not the only one that has a wife that doesn't care what I buy.   She enjoys seeing me enjoying my hobbies!  Golf isn't even close to cycling.   Even fishing is right up there.  Can't tell if that long box being delivered is a new golf club or a new fishing rod.  But you  can certainly tell when a new bicycle is delivered!!

I was awaiting a box yesterday, new shaft for a utility 4i and hoping it arrived before I had to head out for my 2:30 tee time. Of course it didn't, so I guess I have to go back to the course this afternoon to drop it off to get built, c'est la vie.

 

"Hey babe, I was thinking of buying new irons or a Porsche, what do you think?" My wife is 100% supportive of me tinkering and spending, golf keeps me sane.

I'd be worried asking that one.  I'm pretty sure she'd want me to get the Porsche......   so she can drive it all the time.

My wife works at home. Even worse, her office faces the circular driveway in the front of the house. She knows I'm getting a package even before our Golden Retriever does! There's no 'sneaking'; only confessing to crimes already known!

it could be a win/win except the initial outlay to buy the Porsche is serious $$.  But it'd really be fun to have one.   Got to think about this one.  😁

Count me as another person who gets packages delivered to work. It's part secrecy, part security. I don't have things shipped too often, but we still have a fair amount of package theft, so I have a some piece of mind getting it sent to work. The added bonus of not having to answer the other questions from family is just icing on the cake.

Mine really doesn't give a rats behind, either. She like to travel. I hate traveling. She likes live music. I hate live music. I love golfing. She hates golf. Other than that we're a perfect match, though.😂 We don't give each other grief for how we decide to spend on our hobbies.

I’m somewhat lucky, wife knows and see clubs going in and out.. doesn’t care.. and fully aware of a $1,000 swag putter under our bed. But for whatever reason, I get a hard time whenever I play on the weekends.

I try to get out on the first tee time and back before 10 in the summer just in time for brunch with her and what she wants to do for the rest of the day.

exactly, I actually even google the time between the city that was shipped to my house. then check the status updates every 30 mins. and as soon as i wake up on the delivery day to see if it is out for delivery
