I don’t fanboy for any brand. I just play what works best for me. That’s the reason I’ve always bought and sold pretty much any thing that comes out and peaks my interest regardless of brand.

Curious if GT4 retains the forgiveness the TSR4 had. TS4/TSi4 were super unforgiving low sping player heads. TSR4 had a ton of forgiveness.

I might be in the minority but I care most about the shape and look at address more than the name of the club, the alignment aid or paint job.  If the shape is off to my eye, it is really hard for me to play it.  Callaway Ai Smoke TD is a fantastic driver but I simply can't get along with the shape and due to that it never felt comfortable.  Titleist TSi 3 and TSR 3 have the ideal shaping for my eye and it performs.  I expect the same from the GT3, they could name it TSR'er and I'd still play it....

I agree shape and numbers trump the name and sole plate over anything. It could say Buick regal on the bottom for all I care.

Yeah, it's such a mess it's been used on Tour by more players than any other driver the past 5 years.   I think the Pros are not bothered by it, so why should us hacks be bothered.

These look damn nice. I haven’t liked the look of the recent models, but it looks like the face doesn’t protrude forward from the hosel as much as TSR. Looks much better to me

I'm really interested in trying the gt4 vs gt2. I have a TSi 2, I definitely notice that the spin can shoot up on me sometimes when I catch one lower on the face. I know TSr 2 is much better in this aspect, but I want to try the 4 to see how I get along with it. These look great to me tho, looks like there might be more focus of weight in the sole plate design around the silver stripe?

Looks great, they did not mess it up at least. A 10* in the 3 or 4 is my ideal. Gloss head is a nothing burger, though would prefer a brushed face.

I thought the same, and I hope it's true.

 

Although I hit my TSI3 driver pretty good, that bit of "onset" isn't a confidence-inspiring look to me

Will be keen to see if many change to the gt2 out of the tsr3, gt2 looks to have a deep face and with the weights being up near the face now on the gt3 can see if being a low launch driver that's for sure

My personal experience was almost in complete accordance with the reviews and general impression in the golfing world when it came to the TSR line (I have D, FWs, and a hybrid): They are possibly some of the best clubs Titleist has ever produced.

 

Eager to see if they've outdone themselves with the GT lineup. I do find it interesting that while we were all gossiping about whether it would be called the 925, or TS(x), they instead introduced an entirely new naming convention. This may just be marketing, or it may be that there is something genuinely new going on inside the clubs. Time will tell.

 

One hopeful sign (I think) is that from an initial glance at the pictures, the shaft adapter looks the same. (I've got upgraded shafts in my D and FWs and would want to stay with them - hopefully it will be as simple as merely swapping them out.)

I remember asking my Titleist rep if they would ever consider changing the name of the ProV1 and he said, probably not until they developed something with significantly new materials or technology.  If Titleist follows this same idea in their clubs, I believe this GT line is going to have some very different design and material features from the TS,i,R line.  Can't wait to hear the story.

They look so nice!    Looking forward to some reviews to see what's really changed. 

Personally I'm a fan of the gloss.   I was one of those weird guys that would take car polish to the top so they wouldn't get as scratched up.
