Thanks. I just picked up a retail 8.5* with the stock Matrix shaft in S. My swing speed is around 112 so I was suprised when the monitor at the shop was showing decent numbers (avg ball speed 158, ss 110, spin 2,800, launch 14*) and the flight path was straight to slight fades. I'll have to take this to the range to see how it really flys though. I still think I'll need to reshaft eventually, but we'll see.

By the way, if I want a shaft with whiteboard characteristics for no more than $100, what shaft might be the ticket? I'm thinking a prolaunch red (the new one), epic, or GraphiteDesign auora, but not sure.

rombax z combo with this head is the best driver i ever had so far. i'll get the s9-1 pro in a couple of months and will see if it will replace the "best driver" title in my bag.

Epic and Pro Launch Red would work and between the two I'd go for the Epic.

my 7.5 9016d will be here tomorrow. and it will be shafted with a tour red XX ust axiv. im looking to get it to 45" at d-3. i cant wait to hit this thing this weekend at the range and see if i can bring my launch down at all. all i do know is this thing should be a serious CANNON!!!

Just make sure that your seatback is in its full and upright position and strap all children and small women down before you give this beast a go. ;)

So I get an invitation to play an exclusive C.C. today.

I am paired with 2 guys I have played frequently with over the last year, but not in 6 months.

I start smashing my A4 9015D with the stock Ozik 60-S and the one guy states, "what driver are

you hitting now? you are longer than ever!?"

Just an Adams I say. He replies the new Speedline?, I answer no the one that is the sleeper of 2008 the insight Tech A4 9015d, Bernard Langer's driver.

Needless to say.....the foresome was impressed with the control and distance I displayed.

This is an awesome driver and in the bag to stay!

You guys absolutely have to pick up a Harrison Saga for this head. I thought the Rombax 8Z08 was the be all, end all for me. Put the Saga 70X in just to give it a go, and it's now here to stay. This is the smoothest feeling shaft I have ever played given how tight the dispersion is. Mid launch, LOW spin. I would throw it up against the premium $300+ shafts in terms of feel and performance, and it goes for less than $60 new.

I really can't recommend this shaft highly enough....definitely the biggest sleeper I have ever run across. I would honestly compare this shaft to the Ozik TPHD Gold...it's that good.

Ditto...I'm lovin' the combo as well. I have the 70g version in stiff flex, tipped 1/2" and it's perfect.

Would you say this shaft tipped 1/2 plays to a genuine stiff or a bit stiffer mate?

Maybe I'm just real picky, but did any of you guys notice little mishaps with the paint on your 9015d heads? My new one which hasn't even been hit yet has some paint "spills" in a few areas on the bottom of the head. I know it doesn't impact playability, but just curious. Thx.

Adams paint work is notoriously shabby! But who cares if it performs. I stripped the paint fill out of my Idea Pro's looks better IMO. Todd

Remember if you are a decent ball striker, and can hit a driver well, then this beast will take the left side trouble out of play for sure. I always look for a driver that does not want to go left.

This is one of them.

Straight or a fade for me.

Genuine stiff as I have tried one tipped a 1/2 and it was what I consider true stiff.

The butt end of the Ozik stock is a touch soft. man it works for me as is though.

Tipping the SAGA a 1/2" makes it play a touch stiffer than a genuine stiff. I think it plays just a tad light to flex without any tipping though...so if you are in between stiff/x-stiff like I am, you may consider tipping 1/4" to 1/2".

The SAGA really is a great combo in the 9015D...straight and looong, can't go wrong with that

I finally hit the 9015D today! Played 15 holes or so with a 9.5* - stock Matrix 60g in a stiff. Yikes :o . I was all over the place with it. The shaft feels whimpy lmao. WTF is that grip? It feels like I am holding a pencil in my hands. I am a 105 +/- swinger, slow on the back, aggressive on the down. I hit some bad fades, and some bad hooks. Once I figured out the setup, etc, I hit some very nice drives with it. Straight or with a hint of draw. Nice drives as in farther than my G10. I absolutely love the sound of this head.

I am officially on the bandwagon. My G10 is now for sale, and I will be purchasing a 9015D! :yahoo:

Here's my problem. The shaft is no good for me, and I am not going to waste my time with the 70g version. I need something to help me control this beast. :help:

Hit mine on the monitor yesterday versus other drivers, and it was just silly how much better the 9015d is. I was nuking it. This thing is still the real deal and easily the best driver I have ever hit.

I'd suggest ordering it through Sellingers with a shaft that you like and/or have been fitted for recently (which is what I did). You might as well order it with a shaft that you know works for you. I think Sellingers can build it with just about any shaft you desire.

Yeah, don't bother with the stock Adams Ozik shafts. For $45 you can put in a Harrison SAGA in the 60g or 70g, whatever your weight preference is, I tell you the SAGA absolutely loves the 9015D...you may also consider Diamana BB 63 or 73, Fuji E360, Accra SC 65 or 75. I've said this a few times regarding the 9015D head, but the mid-launch, mid-spin shafts have worked out very good for my avg. 107mph SS. I had a 9015D w/ a Diamana WB and that is usually a good shaft for me but the 9015D head is too low spin for me to use a WB unless I went up in loft on the head.

Try the SAGA, for $45, you can't go wrong...

Ya, it's one of the shafts I am considering. Along with the UL780 and HOF Patriot. Can't go out right now and spend $200 on a shaft.
