I'm looking for one of these. The nv shaft might be too stiff for me. Damn!

I'm still loving my V-Steels. Looking for a driver head to match. Tried the R540 and R580 from the same year, but not quite right.

Thanks to this thread I recently bought a 5 wood for $20 total on EBay. Club has a Diamana pull out shaft from a Nike Sasquatch in it. I was shocked - shocked I say! - to discover that this club is indeed not a magic wand . It's very solid and long but also very easy to hook. Think I'll stick with my 2004 Big Bertha 7 wood with Graffaloy Blue shaft and keep looking for the perfect hybrid.

Not sure if anyone has a good solid answer for this, but does anyone know the COR of the V-steels? I have a RBZ 5 wood currently, but like most, have issues of the deck when I am not swing it perfectly. I like my driver and 2 iron so I only have room for a single fairway, the RBZ fills my gap nicely, but I am wondering if I can find a V-steel that could fill the gap. Would be a fairly cheap experiment as they can be had for a good price these days. Anyone hit the two in comparison?
That shaft is most definitely the issue, put a decent shaft in that club before you give up on it- whoever put that shaft in club would be hung in effigy if a member here!

Alright. So JP likes the 5 wood head very much but the seller said the UST ProForce V2 shaft was a stiff but turns out it is X Stiff AND it is tipped. This makes for a very stout shaft. JP has the swing speed to keep the dispersion somewhat under control but the ball flight is as low as you might expect. It can get up in the air but it is not a shot Jack would want to have to regularly execute. Too bad about the misrepresentation as JP'd never have knowningly selected this shaft setup.

The ball alignment to the head is nice and neutral and the feel is great. A good looking club.
Jack definitely likes the TM V Steel but would love it in a fujikura or fubuki with 3.5- 4.2 torque and a mid launch in stiff.

Our hero Jack paid $23 off Ebay. Totally hosed like some Pete Carrol icing a kicker!!! :(

Hello new brothers. After reading all these posts, I just went out and bought a V-Steel to join the club.

Now to find the perfect shaft combo. What have you guys found to be particularly great shafts combos with this head?
Right now have the tour issue 3w with Diamana BB 83, this thing is a beast, before that had a 757 when I bought it, made the switch after about two years and has still been in the bag for 5 years now. Still no other 3w that can knock this out of the bag, maybe the "DOUBLE STAMP TOUR" but not gonna spend the cash for that.

Just joined the V-Steel brotherhood! Picked up a 4 wood with the Senior Flex MAS2 Utralite shaft. Any suggestions for a budget shaft replacement for a person with a 80-85 mph wood swing speed?
Hi,
Why would a Diamana pullout shaft be any worse than the stock TM shaft? I assume this club probably came originally with a steel shaft and the past owner wanted to try graphite. Would an average OEM shaft really make a club tend to hook that badly? Admittedly I tent to hit some hooks but it's pretty much under control with my other clubs.

P view, the stock nike diamana shafts were notoriously noodly. I believe you are being advised to purchase a stiffer shaft. Does the club look too upright for you? Try a stiffer shaft and a shorter length to allow the head to set on the ground properly.

Just picked up one of these on ebay, 15 degree with stock shaft in regular flex. Price was right $30 including shipping.

Out of curiosity, what are the opinions of this shaft? Does it play soft to flex? Is it hi or low launch?

In the event I need to reshaft, what size is the hosel - .335 or .350?

Thanx,
Propman

I played the regular flex stock in the 5 wood for a round. To be honest, it wasn't so bad. I personally found it to have a fairly lively tip, that launched the ball high. Just found I was a bit inconsistent, as it just wasnt stiff enough for my swing. If I bought it in stiff, it may have lasted a bit longer before putting something else in.

BTW, It fits a .350 tip shaft. happy hitting with your new best friend on the fairways.

Thanks, since I live in Chicago, probably will be waiting til March before I can hit off a fairway. In the meantime, it will be indoors for this ole man.

Fair enough. I live in South Australia, so its the other extreme. I wouldn't normally say its too hot for golf, but the last few days...its been too hot for golf.
I guess I never mentioned that the Diamana shaft was a stiff flex. I'm sure part of the problem is my swing. For some reason I hit my 3 wood pretty straight but hook a 5 or 7 wood. I hit my 5 iron straight but hook a 4 hybrid. I'm really struggling in that 190-220 area.

[s]I've pulled the steel shaft in my VSteel.
Does anyone have a Billy Bob 335-350 Perforated Adaptor Bushing Ferrule they'd be willing to part with?
To buy one basically means ending up with $30 adaptor bushing that has 80 cent base price.

PM me.
I'll make it right.[/s]

Found one.
Going to install an Arthur SL fairway shaft.
