This thread has not had any activity for some time. I still have my V steel 3 wood with the rombax 75s that i am going to use this season. I was loving it off the tee and deck this fall.

Still rocking mine too, 4 with a diamana 83 blueboard, and that trusty 7 with the rombax 75!

I was a fool and traded my 5 :(
I REALLY want to to try a 7 wood with a matrix kujoh 85 (current has the stock stiff). Shipping to Australia is so painful though...
If anyone wants to sell a 7 wood head only, and ship to Australia for a decent price; PM me please :)

I promise to get some pics of mine up, but just purchased a 15 and 18 degree with stiff stock shaft, but going to change them to Pro Gold 65 R flex. The 3 has a couple of scratches that need to be fixed or touched up, while the 5 is fine.

I want to give my 3 wood another run, but I have just started striping my Titleist so a little unsure. I will definitely give it a fair test come spring just hate to screw with something until the swing is fully ingrained. still some of the best fairways ever made. Need to reshaft the 5 wood and give it a go.

18* with a SVS7 in my bag. Beautiful club.

I got it in a trade...has a couple of strips of lead tape on both sides of the sole and I have no idea how much extra weight, but it feels perfect.

Will pop a pic or 2 up later tonight.

Bought a 15 degree last spring as a cheap experiment after reading all the posts on this site. Quite candidly, I'm having problems hitting it. I have the stock shaft in it, regular flex. Now I know, it can't be my swing which is giving me problems :pimp:

Okay, let's pretend it ain't my swing. I see many posters hating on this shaft. Question is, what is a good, relatively inexpensive shaft that works well with this club. My driver ss is in low nineties and I am more of a hitter than a swinger.

Thanks in advance for the suggestions.

Bagging the 3 & 5 Tour issue currently. Just picked up a T/S and a seven the other day for about $30. I got the 3 & 5 for $40 in a used bin about a year ago. Wanting to find a 16.5 just because!! Thinking about taking the 7 and doing a complete strip down on it and leaving it raw with small amounts of paint fill. Something to occupy myself during this Michigan winter.

Lots of guys put steel in theirs. Alternatively, Aldila NV/NVS (depending on desired ball flight) gets a bit of love and are reasonably cheap.

I just refinished my 15*. It has been in my bag longer than any other club and it was so beat up I was debating sending it to Continental Golf to get refinished. I decided to try it myself first. The tape job for the topline wasn't the best, but the crown turned out pretty good.

I have a vsteel head I use for a paper weight at the office. Loved the club but the shaft snapped on the course after a pretty good shot. It is in excellent shape, perhaps a re-shaft.

I got one of these earlier this winter on the strong recommendation of a lot of WRXers. 18*, got it with the stock graphite shaft, stiff. What do people think of the stock shaft in this club?

I cant hit a stiff gopher, so I am taking mine out and placing regular flex shafts in them. The shafts weren't the best and I took them out when I had my first set.

I'd take it to the range and hit it before I swapped it out. I had a 15* with a stock stiff and I thought it played a little soft to flex, but that wasn't a bad thing. Next I got an 18* with a ProLite 3.5 already in it and I liked that combo better. My local club tech told me when the V-Steels first came out that lots of people replaced the stock shaft with a ProLIte 3.5 as that was a pretty popular shaft at that time. IMO that old school head and shaft combo still works as good as any of the new stuff out there today.

Take it to the range first as previously noted. I however, never got along with the factory shafts and replaced them with TT DG S300 shafts. Love them.

YES SIR. This season i am bagging TM V steel 3 and 5 wood paired up with TM TP rombax 75s. Playing at 43" and 42.5" each. I am stoked for it to warm up to get these things to the course. The 3 wood will be for the tee off short par fours or when i need to hit a draw off the tee (she will see a little deck time, but now much) the 5 wood will be my work horse coming off the rough, and second shots into par 5s. I am so excited about finally getting my 3 and 5 woods both back in the bag at the same time. This has been 9 years coming
