Best putter grip???

I went from a Winn AVS to a Superstroke Flatso 1.0 (liked the feel but couldn’t get over the look at the bottom) to a Winn Midsize (very little feel) to s Superstroke Pistol GtR Tour (much better look and great feel).

I switched from a Winn Midsize Pistol to a midsize Iomic and it has been great so far. Only drawback is that it gets very slick when wet, but so easy to clean.

I to will say Iomic midsize. I like something a little. If her than standard and the Iomic seems to be that. Seems to be slightly smaller than most other company midsize which for me is perfect.

I like pistol grips for the most part. So far my favorite has been the stock one on the odyssey white hot pro line. I've also used PP58, Pure Classic and mid slim 2.0. I want to try out the GTR grips but for $25... meh pretty pricey. I'll stick to the stuff <10 bucks. Next one I'm going to try is Iomic but I'm pretty sure it'll be very similar to the Pure grip.

With that said, I've tried the golf pride rubber pistol, lamkin deep standard, pistol gtr, mid slim 2.0, and winn tapered 1.8, and I like the lamkin deep etched midsize that comes stock on bettinardi/toulon putters the best. Second place goes to the pistol GTR tour.

For me it’s gotta be the Scotty Cameron Cord Pistolini grip. Bit pricey for a stock grip but honestly it’s PERFECT in my hands. The texture keeps sweat from ever being an issue. The size and firmness are absolutely ideal. It looks great to boot. I’ve gone through tons of grips, probably most of the ones mentioned here from the standard Iomic/Pingman options all the way up through the SuperStroke/Flat Cat/Garsen or technique aid grips and even Gripmaster grips (leather & exotic).

 

I’ve never liked super strokes, Garsen served me well for a little while but the Iomics has traditionally been my favorite. However they get a little slick in heat, so the cord beats them out IMO. The Gripmaster grips are really high quality with great shape, texture and feel. Really enjoy them, but a new Cameron cord pistol has just absolutely revived my DH 89 back to being my gamer.

 

Changing a grip can save lots of money for a putter ho! ;)

I just put a P2 Aware Tour on my Futura 5.5m. I had a Superstroke Pistol GT2.0 on it before.

 

This thing is really nice...but let's see if the honeymoon lasts.

Tried a bunch and answer is Iomic Jumbo....for several reasons. Its firmer then super stroke so no movement from soft material, large, grippy, large flat front for alignment help.

i must admit that i am confused by how many people swear by the pp58. I really have small hands, ( glove cadet small). Why this grip is so popular even with those with man hands!?

So I'll just restrain myself from any junior high hand size jokes and just say that for me I think it was just one of those things I remember from growing up playing Ping putters where it was clearly different and new and when you first tried it you were like "wow this grip is different". It might've even been one of the first rubber grips ever made. I'm sure someone has that factoid, but it has great rubbery feel and feels great on impact. I've tried a lot of other grips, but I always go back to the PP58.

For Odyssey DFX grip lovers who don't want to order from Japan, get the Lamkin Deep Etched. Just put one on my Odyssey Black Series Tour Design #6 and it is awesome.

 

It is the same as the DFX, just etched. They offer a cord option as well.

Currently SS Flatso 1.0, Midsize Iomic is nice also

I've been using the SS 2.0 for years and I love it, but their manufacturing tolerances are dogs***. I just went to Dicks to get a new one, and just about every one was a different length. I had 6 of them lined up next to each other, and they were all different. Some of them even different widths. It took me 20 minutes to find the one I wanted. I'm definitely a little OCD about my putter, but that's crazy. Note to self: Never order one online.

I recently put a Tacki-Mac Unified Wrap Oversized Non-Taper Grip (all cool grips have long names!) on my putter and am very much enjoying it! It's the same grip Edel used to use as their stock grip (without the Edel logo) before moving to their Pure grip.

 

It's a club grip, so it's completely round with no flat section. I don't think it will be for everyone, but with the way I grip the putter, it suits me perfectly and I get a sense of freedom with it. The texture is nice too. Gives a lot of feedback, but still tacky and a perfect size for me.
