\o/ it's been raining all morning as predicted and looks like it'll continue all the way through to tomorrow lunch time. That's probably all we need over here to see us through the rest of summer. As long as it stops for Sunday it'll be tickety-boo :)

This is getting old in Ohio. Our daughter is enjoying good golf weather in Bremerton, Washington all week while the weather app on my phone shows thunderstorm icons for the next nine straight days in SW Ohio. Give me a break!

Central Illinois Checking in- We were lucky to get our corn and beans in. Golf has been rained out a lot, but not too bad..... Rain-Makes-Grain, except this year.

At least the price might go up more, despite our commander-in-chief's efforts.

I’m truly starting to wonder if we will get to play even a couple of firm/fast rounds this summer. I hope they let the courses dry out really well and not automatically turn the sprinklers on. Brown is good!!! Let it be for the love of God!! I dare her to bring a low bounce wedge to this state. BB

If the course stays open, I guess I’ll try playing through rain. Lots of casual water to deal with. The ground is already saturated.

The weather showed us getting a break yesterday evening, so I showed up for our Tuesday game (Hidden Valley in Indiana, just west of Cincinnati). It started to sprinkle on the first tee. Radar showed a tiny rainshower moving over the course. Should pass pretty quickly. By the first green it was coming down pretty hard. Still pretty small on radar, so we decided to wait it out. We finally took shelter on the back patio of a member who lives by the 2nd tee. The cell ended up sitting over the course and building for the next hour. Dumped the most water I've seen on that course. We finally grabbed umbrellas and started working our way back to the clubhouse. We had to take multiple detours due to the 10"-18" of water across some of the cartpaths and fairways. Leaving the course, one of the front yards looked like a lake. At another house, golfball-sized driveway rocks had washed across the road. Just off the course? Bone dry.

Got in a quick 18 this morning before more rain. I was due for a round of "Birdie Only" golf from the forward tees and being cart path only this seemed like a perfect day. Fun and educational.

Rain gave us a break yesterday also (Hamilton, Ohio).. Our league was able to finish without rain.. We have yet to have rain outs this year.. knock on wood...

We got about 10 minutes of rain at our league tonight, had some bad storms just miss us to the South and the rain that did hit was was just the fringe of another storm. Plenty of new swimming holes on the course right now.

After a couple of weeks of rain we're back to summer here. Hopefully that's now all for this summer. We've had all the rain we need. Now we want summer.

Mid Missouri checking in here. The Missouri River is severely flooded in multiple places and on top of that we had at least a little bit of rain every day this week. 6 of the next 10 days in the extended forecast showing thunderstorms as well. I hope my home course is trying to harness some of this water for August and early September when everything is scorched.

It's sad to hear of the flooding over there. We've been moaning a bit about a wet June interfering with our golf but it's not even enough to produce muddy courses. If you can tolerate a little damp it's been no real hardship. In fact courses needed some water to recover from last summer. We've supposedly got some rain tomorrow morning but it probably won't amount to much.

That's good because I'm off work this week. Played my ex-nemesis course today. 94. Quite acceptable especially since I tweaked my lower back a bit on Sunday.

I have a nice one tomorrow! Walking with Caddies at Canterbury CC. Epic old club with lots of tradition. I hope it doesn’t rain to much today, love to get that Heathland in cherry condition. BB
