From the video, it sounds like there is a larger GI difference between 5 and 7 series. 585's more forgiving than 565's? Or just more "distance"? It will be interesting to see if the 585's receive complaints of "fliers".

 

785's reduction in "heel/toe MOI", sounds less forgiving.

Yeah I was thinking that too. I found the 565 and 765 to be reasonably close in forgiveness (my opinion only) so will be interesting to see if the 585 is more forgiving and the 785 less to increase that gap, especially with the rumors about the 985 not coming to retail initially and the lack of uptake on tour with the 765. I guess my question on that video is whether the "reduction in heel/toe MOI" in the 785 was only in comparison to the 585 or to the previous versions of the 7 series. I somewhat took it as the former, but who knows.

The 745 AW 51 was a blade, but the 765 AW 51 was more a matching cavity back to match the set.

My thoughts exactly. Current gen in the 565 series the 3 iron comes in left hand but no AW. I think they would sell more AW's than 3 irons. Also I'm hoping that all lofts of the utility irons come in left as well. got a sneaking suspicion that they will leave out the 2 & 6 though.

This might be Japan only, but looks like 5-pw for left hand, but tbh I’d be surprised if they didn’t at least offer the 4 iron in the US given they sold 3-pw last time.

They are pretty quick to reply via email - that has been my experience anyway. If you get impatient you can call. They are on the left coast so keep that in mind - they open at 11EST. :)

Play the 565/765 combo. They arent going anywhere. The 765 are absolute pinseekers. I love hitting them.
