Does that face milling/pattern have a name? Very nice look.

 

Byron calls it Tuna milling I believe.

I have a whole collection of putters but none compare to my

Jack Nicklaus precision milled Boynton, picked it up 25yrs ago

and its never going to be replaced by anything on the market

at the moment

It's the tuna fish milling. But the finish is 4x high polish so it really pops. Just a fantastic putter. Feels amazing. Looks amazing.

I have tested the RX5 as well as the CS1....didn't care for either of them. Already returned the RX5 and am patiently awaiting the RA# for the CS1. My distance control wasn't bad to begin with and these are about the same as any other putter that I have played but, the shorter putts were terribly difficult to get consistent. I am normally about 70%-80% on 5-6 footers. With the Cure putters, I was in the 50% range at best. I will stick with my Miura putters.

I just bought a cleveland smart square blade for 50 bucks brand new. been looking for a 2ball blade, but wanted something not beat to hell and newer. Just a toy to play with :\ been in a rut with my blades, so maybe this'll shake things up

I just bought a new Ping Anser 2 milled putter. I had an Odyssey lined 2 ball but I couldn't get comfortable with it so I returned it. I tried the Ping today with much better results.

Been using a Ping Anser 2 for the longest while. Just recently purchased a Bettinardi BB1. Should be receiving a Taylor Made JDay putter today!

Was using a custom from Black Lab Golf - BL-1. But recently switched to an Odyssey Versa #7 Center Shaft in a White-Black-White set up. For my stroke and alignment, best putter I have used to date.

Just bought a Itsy Bitsy spider limited/Black & Red. When I started playing golf I used a Spider S, so its more of a comfort thing. Feels good though.

Just picked up a Rife Vault Phenom.Z belly putter. 410g simple blade-style head with a flow neck. I cut it down to my conventional playing length of 36", added a Lamkin Sink Round 13" grip (125g), and installed a Balance Certified Putter Stabilizer (70g counterweight). I adjusted the loft to 6 degrees for my forward press. The putter is close to a half pound heavier than conventional putters, with a swingweight in the F range, but I've been playing heavy-head putters with counterweights for about 5 years, and it has beautiful balance for me and great distance control.

Just bought an Odyssey tour customized #7 White Hot with White Ice insert and bronze finish. Nice solid feel for an insert putter and the color is spot on too. May put a Superstroke on it though.

Just got a Works 2 Ball Fang Tank Cruiser. Reminded myself that I don't like Counterbalanced heavy putters. Going to trade it in for a PING Ketsch.

I've added this handsome mid-mallet to my growing Xenon collection. The putter has been in the hands of a few really nice WRXers. She features every element I like in a putter. I especially like the brass 'thrusert' and brass alignment aids. At present she is spending some time with Lumpy. He's converting her to a face balanced putter, adjusting specs and applying a satin finish to the XSS (German Stainless).

 

When I receive the putter she will have the following specs: 360ish gram head weight, 68* lie angle, 4* of loft, 34" in length.

 

 

 

 

I'd like to think that this would stop the putter collecting madness, but who the heck knows. Maybe the Canadian dollar will climb out of the sewer someday : )

That is pretty. ANd no, you can never stop with putters......When I thought I would never play golf again after back surgery, I still actually bought and sold a few putters to just have......I figured I could always enjoy a practice green...

The putter is at 5:00 right now. I asked Lump to get the head as close to face balanced as he can. We'll see what that looks like.

 

I'll confess to your here that I'm leaning toward a hiatus from club 'collecting' in general. Iron sets and putters are piling up. I'm not much of a seller and space is a challenge. I may put myself on a one putter purchase a year cycle.

 

I look forward to seeing your finished Gold's creations.

Picked up this old Scotty since I like the slant neck. Price was very reasonable. The condition is much better than I expected based on the provided pictures. I thought this would be a good restoration candidate. But now I'm not so sure. I'm open to opinions.
