What putter did you just buy ?

Bought three recently. First a mis-stamped carbon 8802 blade putter, made by David Mills.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Second one is a special one made by Jeff McCoy when Scratch Golf was still in business.

 

 

 

 

 

Last but not least, an epic 1 off by LaMont Mann. It's an M 001 with an "Arizona Fire" finish.

Fantastic putter. I still break mine out for several rounds per season. I use it when im struggling. I always putt well with it. You should like yours.

Cool clubs, Mark Timms signature 303ss. Not sure who actually makes these for them but it looks like a dogleg right putter. Great feel, great results.

Those are nasty too phew......really nasty.

 

I don't have new putters on the way per say, but I have a cameron studio design 1 (my first nice putter) and a byron weld neck proto that looks like the 6 numbered one coming in from golds factory Japan pretty soon and I am beyond excited out it. Both will weigh out what I like(studio will be gnarly at 360-365) and both will have the alignment mill I like and make putts with, but I know most won't as it isn't clean.

 

I will share when they come but I am very nervous and excited about how they came out...

Just picked this up today and put a Super Stroke Flatso 2.0 on it. I have so much more confidence standing over the ball now! I previously gamed an Odyssey RX2 blade. This putter has the versa insert so it's a bit firmer and rolls a lot better!

I was originally quite sceptical of this tech based on what it claimed it could/would do but I really feel that distance control with the PIXL insert has been improved. More roll than skid in the first portion of the putts. I used to see a lot of skid with the WHP insert on my #7CS.

Honestly, if it's getting the ball in the hole I wouldn't change a thing.

 

Putters have a tendency to act up though, so there are a couple schools of thought on how to deal with that:

 

1) Show her some attention - maybe a coke bath followed by some light sanding and/or beadblast and polishing followed by a gun blue or cold black ox job.

 

2) Bench her - when she sees another girl in the bag she'll straighten up her act.

 

I've used both with success, but each putter is different and there is no tried and true formula. :derisive:
