What putter did you just buy ?

I bought a black TaylorMade Spider Mallet 2.0 a while back and refinished it to silver. Completed it last week with the addition of a new grip and was able to use it for the last round of the year here in Ohio. This thing looks and rolls awesome!

Josh what a nice job on the Taylormade mallet you did. Noticed you sold an Odessey ProType #5 last week as well. I missed the sale as I was interested in this and the Odessey white hot #7 mid mallet [Graeme McDowell] which I purchased used on ebay. I do see that you like this look in a putter as do I. I also have the same TM putter you refinished and had difficulty with the softness of the insert.

Just got this beauty in the mail yesterday. Thanks again Chip for another outstanding putter! Can't wait to roll it in 6 months when the courses open back up (somewhat joking).

it's like my 20th Scotty—yeah i keep buying putting ditching selling buying ... #infinityloop 'em. :)

the rusty classic has just been sent to the putter spa. will come back with a sight dot in dark chocolate finish by x-mas. and the pingman grip, yes!

need to save some money to buy lead tape now.

 

 

I bought one like that last month (my first ever Scotty), with the same patina and everything. The ball feels absolutely beautiful coming off the face, and I love the lack of a topline (sorry, mine didn't have any Sharpie "art" :taunt: ).

Hope you hole some putts with it!

Took advantage of the Nike sale to get a cheap Origin

picked up a few this week:

 

1. Had a Studio B fitting on Monday and walked out with this 1 of 1 Bettinardi QB8 tour prototype raw DASS head in 360g with a torched finish.

 

2. Second was a Ping Anser TR 1966 that I actually picked up about a month ago. I bought it right off the rack at Golf Galaxy, pulled the head and had it in the mail to BOS golf that day for the gold finish removed and the sightline added. Just got it back Monday and decided to do a Black paint theme with a matte black shaft and Pingman blackout grip, looks awesome and feels great.

 

3. Odyssey Lucky 777 7ch putter. I love my anser with the sightline( I have more than a few), and I also have another Odyssey 7 head that I've used in the past so I figured why not grab the best of both worlds???

Loved the looks and feel + whenever I make a lot of putts with a putter at the store, I keep putting until I start missing.

 

The misses never started - had to buy it!

How did the feel compare to the Ketsch?

 

Or is there a putter you can compare the feel to?

 

I am extremely interested in this putter because I think it looks extremely easy to align, as you stated, but no store near me has one to try.

I was at a PGA superstore and they had a ketsch mid that I tried out as well. It felt very similar to me in the store but one thing I've learned is it's hard to get a good idea of feel in the store because being indoors changes the sound to me and all they have for balls are the supersofts which are very soft. So I can't say for sure yet on feel until I get outside with it with my normal ball. I liked the look of Bergen much better then the ketsch. I like the single top line, I never was a fan of the 3 lines on top.
