Did something similar in the past, Anser -> 8802. It made me appreciate how forgiving Anser is.

 

Picked up a decent condition Wilson 600 GeoLow blade putter last night for $9.

 

I am so mad at my Cleveland Smart Square mallet at the moment - I really badly wanted something on the opposite end of the spectrum!

 

I like it on the practice green - will get a chance to put it to the test on the course soon.

I just picked up a Odyssey Marksman Fang Tank @ 34" w/ Superstroke. This putter has the counter balance weight technology built in(Tank.)I just got it today and played nine so I could get used to it(of course dear.) It is way different than anything i have played before. It has a tendency to go left, but after some grip adjustments, it is better. What I really like is the distance control. You can bet my score is going to drop with this putter. For some reason when I point the alignment stripe at the hole, the hole gets larger, nice.

Looking through this thread makes me jealous! I've been wanting to pick up a Scotty Futura but haven't pulled the trigger yet. I currently have a studio select Newport 2.5 that works well for me...most of the time :). I've been wanting to try a mallet type putter like the Futura for a while. The problem is I got my Newport 2.5 as a gift from my wife when we got married 6 years ago and so it just feels wrong to take it out of the bag lol.

Just bought a Brainstorm Happy "blade" putter.

 

One of the most interesting, funky looking designs/color schemes I've ever seen. But it doesn't bother me.

 

The REAL reason I picked it up is because the feel of it. I've never felt so comfortable standing over a putt.

Just picked up this awesome Scotty off kijiji. Brand new, grip still in plastic I think from 2009? I had been looking around for a Newport 2 and wanted to avoid this years insert, found this and jumped on it.

Very intrigued with the concept of Toe Up and stroke balance putter by Odyssey.

 

Had this fitted with UST putter shaft and Superstroke Pistol GT Tour with 50grams counter balance.

Total weight of the putter became 585grams with E1 swing weight. With no counter balance weight the total is 535grams and F2 swing weight.

 

Feels really solid and the UST shaft does absorb the vibration and soften the metalX putter face. Since I'm so used putt with Odyssey white hot and fusion Works putters.

 

Performance wise, the metalX does promote quicker roll as all "grooved" face putters do. It certainly is a hefty putter compare to my other Odyssey putters. I believe people with straight back straight though will benefit more using this putter.

 

Alignment wise is very unique as most putter has offset but this certainly feels more a center shafted putter with the "OnSet" setting. The high definition alignment might be distracting for some but I do find its a bit too "wide" and busy for my preference.

 

The set up design might not suit everyone's taste. Then again true beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

 

Anybody else has tried and liked the ToeUp putter?

Tried a bunch of Pings and others at a local shop. Wasn't thinking SC, but dang the SC GoLo 7 that I just happened to pick up work well and felt great. Have always liked the Rossie type mallets. Had a Scotty Napa way back when, but, the strong arc stroke wasn't me. So... now pending delivery on 2014 Scotty Cameron GoLo 7 with silver mist finish brand new off eB. Can't wait for delivery and weekend! Hope springs eternal.

I play with an Edel E-2. Love the feel and the setup is super easy. The Pixl face helps with roll a lot and the sound is perfect. If only I wasn't in a putting slump. I know it's me and not the putter though. The best feeling is after about 3 weeks of using the toe up, I went back to a standard anser style putter. Felt super weird to me but actually I had an improved stroke.

Ordered a Odyssey White Hot RX #1 on Monday. Ordered new through 2nd Swing since I had some credit there. Only issue is I placed the order in store so I have no tracking information or anything. Really want it soon. Putted really well with it at Golf Galaxy.
