Got a new #3 driving iron (second hand).

 

 

I had the previous model (TW-U #3) which actually performed very well for me, but I liked the look and feel of this one more. Compact head, high toe. Shafted with a Modus 120S, which is not normally a shaft I get on with, but I like it in this. Took it to the range today, and it performed really, really well.

Had these in red dot but I’m a black/blue dot. Got 4-SW that have brand new Lamkins and a new Tour Wrap on the SW. These will not leave the herd. Going in the bag when the cold snap eases.. In the mid to high 50s headed our way.

I recently purchased Phil Mickelson's GBB Epic Sub-Zero from eBay. It's like-new (very slight driving range wear), but has what appears to be tour van stickers with "PM" and specs. Next to the "TC", there is a "P" designation (see Pic 2). I've been away from golf for a couple of years, so I have older shafts like the Fubuki and Kuro Kage; so, I'd appreciate shaft recommendations if there have been substantial improvements!

If you are in favor of cord grips then I highly recommend the Z Cords. I was getting a little disenchanted with the MCC +4 grips because of some contact issues with my thumb on the top hand. I wanted a consistent feel across the entire grip and corded grips are an absolute must for me.

 

They are definitely a little firmer than a standard MCC type grip but I feel much more "locked in" when I use these.

Finally decided to upgrade from my 2009 Vokey Spin Milled. Tour chrome SM6 46,52, and 58. Pretty excited to hit some fresh wedges. I have a feeling I will be spinning the ball a bit more.
