srixon 745's WOW!!!!!!

Love my 545/745 combo 5,6,7 545 & 8,9,PW 745 with modus 130X +1/2".

When my swing is off, i usually chunk it. Definitely not punished as badly as i was with my Diablo forged. Easy to hit knock downs, baby fades and draws. Think im going to weaken them a degree to get my yardages closer to normal.

Still loving mine, and I'm not even hitting them well lately. Best feeling iron I've ever played...

Has anyone ever had a case of catching some hot spots with these at all? I wouldn't think these would but in my club championship I caught 3 balls that just went absurdly long. Par 3 off the tee I usually hit 8 iron 170 and one flew about 185 over the green into the water. Another par 3 I hit 5 iron off the tee and it usually goes 195 and it flew over the green from 195 as a front pin. Then on 18 I had 205 a little downwind and I hit 6 iron and carried it about 212. Usually hit 6 185. I can't explain it bc they weren't fliers but they sure went way longer than they should have.

That hot spot is called the center of the face lol

This is exactly what I was thinking... these irons are great on mis hits but when you catch one out of the center, they can bomb it.

The sweet spot of a lot of irons is actually more heel-y than center I thought

It all depends on the head design... But i think u missed the tone

Just put some new cord grips my 745 irons.I tried 2 wraps under the grips which I been told thickens them to a mid size grip..Didnt think it would make that much difference, but it sure through me off.Couldn't get the feeling in my hands that I knew where the ball was going and the head weight felt different. Its taken about 3 weeks to get a better feeling in my hands, but I seem to be a little less flippy with my wrists.I still feel the sweet spot when struck well and I think it's a bit closer to the heal as well with these irons.I haven't had any shots take off on me from hot spots on the face.If I draw my shot I can add and extra 10 yards and pull shots give me a few extra yards as well but haven't noticed any hot spots.

Not even looking at new irons, still very happy with my 745 .

LMAO............Just remember, the novelty will wear off, and the next great forged iron will feel even better......LOL

Maybe... Or in 10 years we could be talking about how good they were and we wish someone would make a set as good again...

Officially on-board the 745 train, better late than never. Just received a 4-PW set of the 745s with TI S400s. Can't wait till the weekend to get out and play these.

Still trying to decide if I should go U45, 545, or 745 on the 3 iron. I have the U45 in the 18 degree and absolutely love it. Leaning towards just getting the 20 degree U45, but would like to hear what others have done here.

I tried the u45 20* and was only gaining a few yards (literally) between my 4i and the 20*, but you may have a different outcome. FWIW, I hit my 4i 218yds from the fairway with little to no roll.

Hit the 745s for the first time this past weekend (shafted with S300), and was really impressed with the feel. To be honest, they feel better than the MP15 and MP25 to me. I currently game 2013 Ping Anser's, but when I move on from these, I'll probably be looking to go to a Srixon forged club. The 745s also look fantastic!

Interesting, I have to say I'm leaving towards the 745 3i due to the versatility over the U45 20 degree. I don't know my distance on the 4i, but it will likely leave a huge gap between that and the U45 18 degree. I use the U45 primarily off the tee and see 250+ consistently. Seems if I already have the driving iron, might be better to stick with the more versatile 745.

545 makes sense but for some reason during my fitting I hit the 545 head like garbage. Was seeing way better numbers from the 745. It's possible the 545 head was out of spec, but it was a no brainer to go 745 based off the numbers I was getting during the fitting.

I'm coming from original AP1s, so the 745 is quite a bit smaller. But I was shocked how easy these things are to hit and when you do connect, they are crazy long. Really looking forward to finishing out the golf season with this set.

Hey Guys, I received my Z 745 in the Black Edition last Week. My Irons feels "clicki".

Any of you have this too? Maybee it´s the black coating. But the are definetly "clicki", not real solid. I hit them against my other Irons (Ping I E1, Ping Iblade, Honma TW 727VN) All have Nippon Modus 105 Shafts in stiff in them.

I´m very angry about that, because I love the look of these Irons in the Bag. It´s definetly not the Shaft, it has to be the Head. Before you ask, it´s on all Heads in the Set.

Hope you can help me
