See, the white pants are classic. My real pet peeve is when the shoes are the same color as the pants. No one should wear black pants and black shoes. Ahem, Patrick Reed. Same goes for white pants and white shoes.

You lost me toward the end there (and I'm fine with black pants and black shoes, although wear white shoes more often). What color shoes should you wear with white pants then?

The washing machine still comes into play (hopefully) after each round. And as for the bathroom stuff, well, I don't know what to tell you.

Probably come in about 15th on my list of pant colors I would choose to wear.

Not my thing (just like flat brimmed hats, pink shirts etc.) but some guys rock them and look great doing it.

If white pants get dirty you can put them in the washer, add bleach, and they come out good as new. That can't be done with any other color. That would be my reason for wearing white pants.

Good find ... if I had to guess, Jack looks to be around 40 there which would make that around 1980. I don't remember seeing any white pants in golf shops back then.

I'm no fashionista, but traditionally white is a summer and tropical color. Considering the tour chases wonderful weather white makes a lot of sense. It's cool in hot weather, and as mentioned it can be bleached, pressed, and worn again pretty easily.

 

What surprises me, and the reason I bumped this thread awhile back, is that it's so consistent and never do they wear "winter white." Creme or Marfil in Spanish is the off-white tannish beige color that looks great when it's not Memorial to Labor Day. I have a couple pairs of RLX pants in those colors and they look great with everything. Call me a contrarian but I just could not show up with a suitcase full of white pants knowing 3/4 of the field is wearing the same. For a career path that is often insulted by the press as a "group of robots" they sure don't work very hard to shake that moniker.

I can't even wear a white shirt without dropping ketchup, mustard or some other food item on it. Definitely can't do white pants.

I wear white pants and shorts in the summer purely because I think they look great.

The idea that you need to be a certain gender or skill level to wear a color is so laughable.
