Whats the Deal with all the White Pants

Turn on almost any golf event and half or more of the field is wearing White Pants

 

I like golf pants just not White, Did I miss something?

 

I do not own white shorts or pants and if I did they would stay that way for maybe a day before I ruined them

What's so wrong with white pants? If they get dirty, you just wash them. They look great in hot weather and go with everything

I'm not sure how many white pants posts there are or how many I've replied to. I'll do one more...

They are crisp, light, classy and keep you cooler in my opinion. They don't show sweat like old heavy khaki pants.

It's nice that there are so many hot weather friendly materials now and white goes with everything. I wear mine almost every time I play, as well as white shorts from time to time. It's not really a new thing...many golfers back in the day wore them, too.

White pants/shorts belong on females. I dont see the weather ever being an issue where I'd need to wear white pants because it's hot out. I work outside for a living without white pants, played in 98 degree weather without white pants. I don't think I've seen an amateur on the course ever wearing white pants, if I did I'd probably laugh. Only other men that I see wear white pants are painters that shop at Sherwin Williams.

The idea that a specific color article of clothing belongs to a gender or can only be worn by professionals is flat out stupid. It's a color. Get over it.

Yeah where do you play? Iceland? Many guys wear white pants. They look swank and that's all that matters. Next thing you'll tell Horschel or Poulter they can't wear pink since it's only for women. You wear what you like but to say white pants are for women is one of the most egregious things I read here in a long time.
