His last bigdrive was last Tuesday at poppy hills hole 10 junior ncga tournament. 360yds his other 2 longest were 350. Pros can hit farther but that doesn't always help in a tournament depends on the hole.

Wut? 360 yds? Downhill, cartpath? Maybe I'm wrong, but it seems everyone on this site hits the ball 100,000 yards anymore.

In all fairness there was a kid at the ReMax that was 18 years old. I'm pretty sure he could swing it over 130. In high school I was 6'1" 170 pounds and could get up around 125 and was not strong by any means. I also grew up playing with Bubba and he was a club longer than me the two times I played with him which would put him up around that speed too. Leave the guy alone, his kid probably smashes it.

I really wish Mizuno would offer some different finishes in the MP lines. Maybe some kind of black or gun metal. I know you can go the custom route but it gets pricey.

Ok my son has played these irons and here is his opinion. Bear in mind that he has played blades since age 10.

He says they are very easy to hit, almost like a cavity back. Everything just goes straight with a slightly higher trajectory than his MP4s. First time hitting them, no range, 9 hole par 3 course. Only missed green, hole 1 120yds hitting into 30mph wind 10yds short of pin. Slightly duller feel vs Mp4, good backspin most everyything within 1-2 ft of pitchmark.

Usually we bend 2-3 degrees flat but with these standard is fine. Relaxed swings are point and shoot effortless.

You stilll need a good swing, he's a 1hdcp 130mph driver swingspeed. According to him the balance and shape is easy to get use to just feels slightly thicker.

He has 3 tournaments coming up MTW and F still would use the mp4s they are pinkillers.

From his descriptions mp5s are like a performance car with fantastic automatic transmission smooth. Mp4s are like a sports car with an 8 speed manual transmission. If you can handle it, it will be a slightly better performer. But if you never played blades these irons would make an easier transition.

130 mph? Of course he can.

Yep I should have them shafted up by the end of the week.

Nice! You'll love them.

I think I like the MP-4 PW better, based on what I know now. Looks perfect.

I'll wait until I see the MP-5 with the naked eye, though.
The 5s seem to have an almost identical topline to the 64s. I got rid of my 64 8-PW in favor of the 4s due to their more compact size heel to toe and thin topline. They're perfect. That said, the 5s have my attention.

Also, happy 3k post to me!

How many of you are thinking you want to play these even though the realistic part of your brain is saying "this will not help us one bit".

That would be me. I absolutely know I will not play any better with these then my MP15s. But there's a part of me that thinks I'll have more fun with these, especially 7-pw . I don't fear the blades effecting my score in a bad way though based on my own experiences in the past. So the question is do I combo or go full set?!?!?!?!

No AMT. Available 9/7. No upcharge shafts or grips. Only the M31 stock grip can be ordered "In Box," everything else will be installed. After seeing them in person today they look good. I honestly prefer the way the MP-25 set up though. Think I'm going to do a full set of the MP-25.

They still kind of have that funky "thick hosel" look to me. They look really good, I just personally prefer the lines of the 25. I don't know what it is about the 25 though, they just look really good. I only saw the 6 irons.

I hit the MP5 yesterday just quickly inside on trackman, six iron, with X100 shaft

long time MP4 guy here

Quick overview (sorry didnt have my irons to directly compare) I was in the shop when the heads came in.

Looks MP4 vs MP5 fairly identical, to see the Cut Muscle Channel, i really had to put my finger in it to visually see it, due to the slight camber and chrome its not really that noticable IMOP

Top line, like other mentioned, a hair thicker. Cannot comment on club shape throughout the bag, only saw the six iron

*What was noticeable, I think these are a bit more forgiving than the MP4, because the weight with the cut muscle is pushed to the perimeter of the club head, do not get me wrong, its not AP2 easy or something like a G25, but I felt a difference. Hats off to mizuno, the club IMOP with a touch more forgivness still has the same feel as the MP4.* (on that I felt slightly off center strikes off center towards the toe where less punishing)

Just my two cents hitting 10-15 balls

As I have posted before, no shaft up charges, coupled with there A & B weight heads, closest OEM custom job you are going to get without having a club maker or tour van build you a set.
I compared the mp25 and mp5 6 iron heads briefly. There really wasn't much in it. Major difference was the satin vs. chrome.
I agree, they are very similar, but the MP5 has just a touch thinner top line than the MP25. I'm looking forward to testing the MP5 against the 716CB and comparing the looks, feel, and forgivenesses.

Looks like this guy is claiming to have them in hand after getting them from the Mizuno British Open tour van:

http://sfbay.craigsl...5138485478.html
This guy is me. And yes I got them from a tour van guy in the UK. If they don't sell within this week, my son is going to be playing these in his upcoming junior tournaments. So he's keeping his fingers crossed that they don't sell. They have Project X 6.0s in them set to D5 which is where he likes his irons to play at. And yes, they are as good looking in person as they are in pictures. I also have these up on Ebay.
Why do they have paint fill? None of the Mizuno pics have it.
I've seen several pictures with paint and several without. Easyyy, another member on here has them and his have the paint fill. I'd assume the retail versions will have paint fill but I really hope not. I have a set of project X PXI 7.0's with lime green ferrules ready to load in a set. It would look awesome with some lime green paint fill in the runbird to match!

Paintfill

On the demo head there is none
